How to not cry

Any tips out there on how to not bawl your eyes out like a blubbery asshole while walking down the aisle? I'm hoping my anxiety and general social awkwardness will help fight back the tears.

    What you said @250Love !

I'm in trouble, and I get married next Friday lol! But we've been through a lot, his kidneys failed going on 2 years ago, and through surgeries for his access, doctors and him going to dialysis three days a week still; I know for sure I'll cry, because being able to stand in front of him that day because he's still here with me, will bring on the water works :-)

I saw a thing a long time ago that was saying a silly rhyme to yourself when you walk down the aisle. It was like peanut butter lollipop watermelon gumdrop. I use it all the time because I'm a crier™. I think it's good to cry during vows though.

Funny tip that a mother of the bride shared with her daughter right before walking down the aisle: "Think of it as a transaction. I did that with your father." : P There were no tears. Just smiling faces during that ceremony.
