How to include that the wedding is a mini destination wedding?

We’re going to send out save the dates soon. Our venue is about 3 hours from us and some of our family, so it’s kind of like a mini destination wedding but not far away enough to be a full blown destination wedding. Should we include on the save the dates that it’s a mini destination wedding? Or should we leave that out? And if we do include that its a mini destination wedding how should we word it?

Normally the city and state of the venue is included on the save the date, I think that will be enough.

Yup, was just going to say this. If you have a wedding website, also put that on there. And then you can put the hotel info on the website so people can plan ahead.

I'm in the same scenario! My venue is around 2.5 hours away from us, and both of our families will need to travel anywhere from 2-6 hours for our wedding. We just listed the city and state on the Save The Dates, and our guests figured it out from there.

People will figure out by the location on the save the date that it isn't where you live.

The city and state of your wedding should be listed on your save the date.
