How to ask very dear friends to sing in my wedding

EdubbsWife™, on April 21, 2011 at 12:04 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

I want my best friend's mother and sister to sing in my wedding. They both have extraordinary voices! I am looking for a creative way to ask them. I used the card pictured below to ask my Bridesmaids. They were created by an etsy designer (decadent designs). I want to do something similar, but don't know what to write on the card. Keep in mind I have known BF mother since I was 2 and BF sister since she was born! So I want it meaningful and creative. Any suggestions?

The time has come for EDubbs and I to join our lives as one,

We look forward to our wedding day filled with family, friends, and fun!

To make that day more special and create memories that will last,

There is this one special thing that I need to ask

Your glorious voice is like an angel above

I would be honored if you could sing about cherish and love.

Thanks ladies... I google for inspiration, and cut and paste stuff together. I also use the rhyming dictionary to help me when I need to make up my own line. I have a few more poems and stuff on my profile page. check it out. PM me anytime if you have a question, need help, and I miss it.

This is fantastic. I love it. What are thoughts on asking my future sister in law to sing rather than be in the wedding party? My groom really does not want her in the wedding party because they don’t get along, but I don’t want her to feel excluded. She’s very sensitive. Also, we are having her twins be the ring bearer and flower girl...
