How Old Were You When You Got Married?

High school sweethearts for 10 years thing the knot at 27. Even though we never broke up and our relationship has only gotten better we think now is the perfect time!

I'll be 26 which is still on the younger side. I was 24 when we got engaged so we did have a longer engagement. We had full support though because we had been together a while and were already living our lives together.

I will be 23 when we get married.. idk if that early but no i have no regrets at all! I waited (longer then the people i grew up with) to find him, so I am marrying him!

I was 23 and my husband was 25. I don't think we were too young, although I know that the average age for a bride is 29 and average for a groom is 31. I don't regret it at all either, he was my first boyfriend and I was his first girlfriend after 7 years of being single, and we both knew very early on that we wanted to get married. Both of our families were very supportive of us getting married as well

I will be 26 (engaged right after I turned 25). We have been together 8 years so I was ready pretty much straight out of college. However, I am glad we waited because we are in a much better financial situation now and can have a much nicer wedding.

I will be 23 and FH will be 30. Everyone around us is going "finally" LOL

I'll be 26 and he'll be 26 when we get married. We got engaged a month before I turned 26 and 3 months before he turned 36.

Had I gotten married when I was younger, my parents would not have supported me the way they do now. They'd still love me and be there, but because I'm emotionally and financially more stable I think it's easier for them.

I'm loving these responses! My fiance and I are the same age. Been together for 5 years, probably 6/7 by the time of the wedding and we'll be 21. So definitely on the younger side of things, but still waited longer than many of the people we know.

DH and I were both 23, but his birthday is today so he's now 24. He proposed when we were both 21 and we had a long engagement. We were high school sweethearts so we had been together for 7 years and lived together for 1. I don't regret it because I see my single friends trying to internet date and it's terrifying. I have a permanent best friend and it's great. I love my DH to death.

When he first proposed my parents were extremely hesitant, but we pay bills, rent, and have steady full time jobs so we were able to prove to them that we could survive on our own.

I'll be 25 and FH will be 30 when we get married. Our families are both so happy and excited for us. They can't wait for the wedding. I have had some people (not family) tell me that they think I am too young to get married. Everyone's life has it's own timeline!

I'll be 27 when I get married in April. I'm glad I waited, it took me a little while until I finally met the one. Me and my f.h have been dating two years I got engaged in May.

No, almost 21

I'll be 25, my fiance will be 29! Both weddings I've been in have been young bride & groom though. One was 20 and 19, the other was 21 and 20.

I'll be 27. I wish I could have gotten married like, 2 years earlier? If my situation were different, only because I feel old lol and we aren't planning on having kids for a couple of years so I'll be almost 30 when I have my first kid.

At the same time, I'm happy everything worked out the way it was supposed to! I'm in a good spot, and we're doing what's best for us by waiting for kids...even though I'll get my most HATED question "So when are you having kids???"

I am 27 and he is 32 started dating when I was 19 and got engaged about 6 months later when I was 20... And have had the longest engagement ever! Haha when we first got engaged everyone thought I was pregnant or something since it happened so quickly! But for years now we have been asked when we're finally going to get married! September 21st will be our 8-year dating anniversary and we will commemorate our anniversary by finally tying the knot!

I’ll be 23 and FH will be 24 almost 25. I wish it could have been sooner, but I know that it wouldn’t have worked out before now. My college education was more important to me than getting married a few years earlier when we knew it would happen eventually.

Engaged at 31 and 34, married at 32 and 35. FH was married before. My mom actually said "its about time"! (Um, you never liked any of the prior boyfriends, remember?)
