Low price is perfectly fine as long as the dress looks good on you. Im not spending a crazy amount on mines either. Im wearing an evening gown and don't plan to spend more than $300.00 for my dress.

Originally I wanted to pay 200-300 for a dress, even found a bunch of simple ones for around 100 on Lulu's. I ended up buying mine from bhldn and was 800 +150 for alterations. I loved it every bit and couldn't find one that I could have found used.
Nothing wrong with an inexpensive dress, it's much smarter! Use that money to spread amongst all the other bills!

Mine was on sale at 50% off without knowing so ended up paying $750. Make sure you also include the cost of alterations in your budget as I also had to spend $350 in alterations (and they were minor). Saving money on the dress sounds like a good plan, just make sure you are getting the dress you really love and not just a dress you like because it is not expensive. This is one of the most important days of your life. Good luck shopping! Smiley smile

You are perfectly fine. My dress was $199 from a sample shop. My MOH just got her wedding dress for a few hundred off of Azazie, another bridesmaid just got hers for $180 from Lulus, I think it was, and my future sister-in-law got hers for $75 off of Poshmark. (Those aren't even all the weddings in my life this year, but those are the dresses I know about.) For the record, none of us are doing Saturday weddings, either. I think the new trend is Sunday weddings and an inexpensive but still kick a$$ dress!

The dress should be what you comfortable paying and how it makes you feel. Nobody needs to know the cost. No matter what you pay I'm sure you will look like a million bucks. Best of luck

My cost $250 but I had coupons and a gift card so I spent $96 on mine at Macy’s! I love it! It doesn’t matter how much you spend if it makes you feel special and look great!

My dress was $500 including tax. That honestly over my budget-- I wanted to spend less than $200... I got mine at an off the rack dress shop that was closing, and honestly I love it but 500 was a little much for me (im a college student and so is the FH) but I found dresses on Lulus were gorgeous, cheap and made well-- I ordered one before I bought my dress and it is so pretty. Got it for $90. Definitely check out Lulus.com! You can always add a veil to make it more formal.

I fell in love with a dress I got used off of eBay for under $60 including shipping. I’ll spend a bit more to get it fitted, but I couldn’t be happier with it. If you find a dress you love that doesn’t cost a whole lot that is more money that can put into other areas of the budget.

The price of wedding dresses is ridiculous. No one should have to take out a loan for a dress that many only choose to wear 1 hour tops instead of 4+ hours. It is acceptable and normal to purchase a lower priced dress and do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

Everyone's budget is different but I could never justify spending more than $500 and you can get a very nice dress for that price or less, even custom, that will be worn as long as possible.
