How much time are you taking off work?

I saved up my vacation and took the week prior and 2 days the week after. I knew I would have a lot to do the week prior with the wedding being in a different area than we live in. My FH took 3 days prior off. So I did stuff where we live Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday we drove to where the wedding was and completed the remaining items there. I wanted a few days off after to catch up on sleep, unpack, and write thank you's. It was nice to have that time as well. I definitely took more than most are able to, but it was so worth it for me.

Wednesday before the wedding till tuesday after the wedding.

I have over 3 years of PTO saved up, so I will take a total of 3.5 weeks off over 2 months. It's probably (okay definitely) not going to help me climb the ladder, but this is once in a lifetime and I'm doin' it!

(I don't mean I can take 3 years off, I just mean I have all my vacation time earned from the past 3.5 years.)

I just started a new job in May so I'm lucky I have any PTO. I should have 4 days but I was sick 2 weeks ago (I never get sick) so now I'm down to only getting paid for 2 days I am off. I am taking the Thursday and Friday before and as of right now Monday - Wed of the following week. We are waiting to go on our honeymoon until the following year but we are heading to the beach for a few days and I want one day to recover before going back to work. FH is taking a half day that Friday and going back to work the following Wednesday.

I'm probably going to take off Thu and Fri before, and then we'll stay at our location for a few days. So in total, probably 5-6 days altogether.

I'm a teacher with my summers off so I will be off for about 8 weeks before and still have 3 weeks after before school starts again. FH is a golf professional so he will probably work all the way up to the day before and go back to work the mon or tues afterwards. We are taking our honeymoon in November when he can actually take extended time off.

I'm taking the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off before the wedding, and two full weeks after for our honeymoon

I am working until Wednesday, wedding is on a Saturday after we will be on our honeymoon so I will be off from work for a total off 8 days not counting weekends..

FH is working until Thursday before and returns same time I do..

I will take Wednesday thru Friday for prepping and last minutes.... Then a week later 1 week for Honeymoon.

My wedding is on Sunday...I am taking the Friday and Saturday before...I am also taking the next week off as well for the honeymoon. So I'll be taking a total of 7 days.

Our wedding is on a Saturday so i will be taking off that Thursday and Friday before the wedding. After the wedding i will be taking off that Sunday and Monday but i am thinking of taking off that Tuesday and Wednesday to. FH will be off the Friday before and the Sunday and Monday after. We are waiting until next year to take a honeymoon because we dont have the money right now.

Our wedding in on a Saturday. So I'm planning on taking Friday off. We leave for our HM the following week, so I will be off a total of 6 days. Friday before and then the entire work week.

Monday is Labor Day, work Tues, Wed & part of Thurs, back on the following Wed, work Thurs, and then off again for FH surgery.... Sept = 12 working days!!!!

We have a Sunday wedding, and the Monday is a holiday so I am taking the whole week before and after the wedding. my fh has the thurs and fri before and the week after - but his is a new job so it is unpaid :-(

Thanks ladies for sharing. I'm one to plan ahead so it's something for me to think about. Currently I only work part-time ans my schedule is flexible so taking time off and working plans around wedding won't be an issue. Just not sure how much is too much.

FH is self employed he can go & come as he pleases. But that means not funds coming in just going out. I have a lil more time before making a decision

I am taking two weeks off, one week before and one week after! My first vacation this year, except for a day here and there. My job is generous enough to give three marriage days in addition to vacation days! We are taking our honeymoon two months after the wedding, so I will take another 8 or so days then! FH unfortunately cannot take much time off, so he will be off the day before and the Monday after.

I'm taking the friday before and returning in a week.

I work nights and 12 hr shifts so I only work 3 days/week, every other weekend, as it is. My plan is to take off the Friday before our Saturday wedding (I'm already off the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before that), off my regular days Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I'll probably work my Tuesday, Wednesday, be off Thursday, Friday, work Saturday, Sunday, Monday then leave for our honeymoon for 7-10 days (haven't booked it yet) with me only needing to take off 2 or 3 more days off work
