if you can tell me, how much was or will be your wedding cake? we'll be having around 140 guests. i've looked into two bakeries and one quoted me $1100-1500 depending on design. not sure if this is average or way too high. this bakery is highly recommended by others.

$900 for 3 tier custom design to feed 50. I didn't want to spend that much but my FH insisted on this certain bakery. He is very picky about his food and he loves their cake flavors and their fondant actually tastes good.

Mines will be around 400 for 150 ppl but my wedding might have less ppl attending so might be even lesser

Our cake is included with our reception package! I wanted to do cupcakes to, however there is a sweets table included in our package to and I think it will be overkill.

Wow thank god my cake is free. My FSIL is studying to be a pastry chef right now so the restaurant where she is doing her internship is helping her make our cake for free. I don't expect it to be perfect but I trust she will do a great job! I just want something simple, like this, but with our topper and purple flowers instead of red.

$2375 for 170 people its pretty elaborate though

Our reception will be at a Hilton and one of the perks is that the cake and floral centerpieces are included. After reading what people have spent on cakes, I appreciate it a bit more! I only have to pay extra if I want fondant.. but I prefer buttercream anyway.
