How much did your wedding dress alterations cost?

$640 having to have the straps shortened, the bodice taken in and length shortened

Got mine done at David's bridal cost around 600, but I had multiple layers, had to get shoulders taken in and they also did a bustle for me.

Mine are 600$ picking up my dress on Thursday!

For my alterations (hemming, tightening the straps, adding the 3 loop bustle and taking a little in at my boobs) will be under 500 🤗

I get to pick it up next week and then I’m getting married on 9/17 🥰🥰

Your dress like mine has many layers so you are looking at a more expensive cost to alter the dress. Mine was a little over $400 at David's Bridal to get it altered and bustled.

My experience was $$$. I think buying sample dress was not the best call. The dress I wanted was no longer available here in Texas. So I tried to buy one similar and alter it close to look like the one I wanted. I enjoyed the wedding, the reception and I was all night in my wedding dress. It felt comfortable and I truly enjoyed been in it. 🥰

Spending about $1000 to alter! Sounds like a lot but the dress was more lol.

Mine were $450, which isn't bad considering I'm in Los Angeles. I had my dress hemmed, added a bustle and a corset in the back. We found out halfway through our engagement I'd 7 months pregnant on our wedding day and I panicked because I love my dress, I didn't want to get a new one. My seamstress was amazing and because my dress is A-line, all she had to do was add a corset to the back (instead of the zipper it came with) and we can adjust it the day of the wedding depending on how tight or loose I want it tied.

Between three gowns about 2500 so about 700-800 each. Your dress is fire btw. 🔥

Hi brides! Posting this to help with price transparency My gown's alterations will be about $380. I have beadwork appliques on a crepe skirt and an illusion back; the silhouette is a mermaid shape, but with looser fabric.

No hem (cheers to being tall!), but I am doing a french bustle, getting the sides taken in, and letting out some fabric in the thighs. Best of luck to everyone

View Quoted Comment There is a dry cleaner that specializes in wedding and clothing alterations and tailoring. I found it from a friend’s recommendation and it was 1 minute away from my job! Just two people working there; mom and daughter owned.
