I designed my dress and had it made to my measurements for about $500. I didn't need any further alterations.

I haven't got my alterations done yet. I was quoted up to $600 for having the seams taken in and possibly having chips put in

Lovely dress! Love it! I was able to arrange alterations with the boutique where I bought my dress. Altogether, my alterations came out to $700. This included all dress alterations and some alterations to my veil. I am also based in NYC.

Mine were under $200 but I didn't have to have much other than adding extra fabric to the straps to make them more comfortable and a bustle added that I didn't even use, whoops Smiley ups

My dress was $900 and I went to an independent tailor. Got hemming and a bustle and it cost $170, but my dress had no lace/was a more simple design

$500. Shorten the length, take in the bust/shoulders & add bustle.

My wedding dress was the 2016 Jewel dress from David's Dridal, which I bought used from a lady that was just about my size (read: tiny!) so it was already brought in to about my height, waist, and bust, but I just needed to tighten the shoulder top area and add a bustle (3 buttons). I went to an independent small alterations shop and she only charged $100 for both.

Your dress is gorgeous! I got my dress and had my alterations done at David’s Bridal. My alteration cost $524. My dress has three layers to the skirt that need to be hemmed and then the top had to be taken in on both sides of the bodice which is lace with some beading, they are also adding a bustle for my train.

My dress was very plain. No lace or beading. It was a straight dress with an overlaid train/skirt. Maggie Sottero Rhiannon dress.

I spent close to $1,000, my dress when it arrived was too big....everywhere. It turned out beautiful once they were finished.

I had a Hayley Paige dress with many layers of tulle. I went to a seamstress who had experience with high-end gowns. I paid around $1000 for a hem, taking in the sides, and adding 3 layers of bustling. The dress fit flawlessly and I’m so pleased we worked with that seamstress
