$2,500 before alterations. My parents bought my dress for me. We got my dress from The Lily Rose Bridal in Cornelius, NC.

I think it was either $449 or $499 from Azazie! Also did custom sizing so the only alterations I needed was shortening the straps and adding a bustle.

Alicia, I too bought my dress from David's it was on sale for $899 after taxes it came to about $1000. They wanted $438 for alterations that I didn't do. I have a friend who has been sewing and making clothes for over 20 years. She did my alterations and she did an awesome job for $167 dollars. I think David's should change their policy about altering. If you purchase your dress there alterations should be free, and they are ridiculously expensive. So I understand your frustration with that.

My mom purchased my dress for $700 from David's Bridal... not at all what I had originally intended on spending, but I fell in LOVE with it.

My FH actually bought my dress with his hobby money because he wanted me to have my dream dress!
He spent $1100 on it, it was bought from a resale shop that specializes in high end designer wedding dresses. There was a tear in the skirt(hence the low price) that I had hemmed off, now it looks perfect.

It’s a silk tulle ballgown that I’m having dyed and converted into a renaissance festival dress after the wedding. We go every year, it’s our thing. I’m excited to get to wear it every single year!

Mine was over 2000. I bought it online used (still white) It was my dream dress. I bought a dress from lulus for 100 trying to be low key. But, ended up taking a small loan out to get my dream dress. For me, it’s worth it to spend more money. It’s all about your prioritiesSmiley smile

Mine was $862. I had planned on only spending $600, but my mom informed me that they were paying for it when we got to the store. I almost cried. I’m hoping it’ll fit perfectly without alterations, fingers crossed haha.

Watching shows like say yes to the dress made me worried I wouldn’t find a gorgeous dress for less than 3k. Couldn’t be more from the truth! There are beautiful dresses for every budget!!!! Esp if You get creative. I found mine for just under 2k at demetrios.

I know this does not answer your question, but here are some tips I wish I was told when shopping for my dress:

    - Ask about the bustle. It took my bridal attendant 45 minutes to bustle me. I had 30 buttons.

    - David’s Bridal will make you buy the sheath, which is not needed unless you like the way it looks!
    - Ask if alternations are included.

As far as price, under $2,000 at David’s Bridal, but with alterations, sheath, and storing box I would say right at $2,000.

I had a budget of under $1000, so I sought out what are called “Sample sales” at bridal boutiques.. so I ended up finding my dream dress that was originally $2000 (it’s from the allure romance line) and I paid $800! I always recommend ladies check out sample sales because you still get a gorgeous designer dress for a fraction of the price.. here’s a snap shot of my first set of alterations.

I found my dress at a local boutique for $2,000. I ended up buying it off Tradesy from a boutique one state over that had it for $1400. I messaged them 1st to ask if the price was firm and they told me to make an offer. I offered $1,000 & they accepted! I will tell you though i found my dress at several other shops online for $200-$500 less so if you find a dress in a boutique i highly recommend taking pics of all the tags and then searching online, mostly right in google, for it.

My budget for my dress was $1,200 and I ended up spending $981; I went to David’s Bridal.
I hope my alterations aren’t extensive.
