It was $1200 plus about $150 for some extra fabric for customizing it. After tax, it was $1445. I have my first fitting in a few weeks so I'll find out about alterations then.
I spent $175 from David's Bridal. My budget was $500 or ($1000 if I fell in love).. well I happened to fall in love with a dress before knowing the price and it saved me money!!
My father offered to pay fro my dress which is why it's more expensive then if I paid for it myself. For my dress, veil, and belt the total was $2900 before alterations.
The first one was $144 as a sample sale dress from Kiyonna. The veil was $15 on Amazon. I like it a lot but didn’t feel like a bride so I shopped around for an equally cheap alternative.
The second one was from ASA Bridal on Amazon. The dress was $102 but I paid $35 for them to customize it to my measurements and make me a matching veil. I also paid $20 for expedited shipping. It fit like a glove. No alterations needed.

$60 from Amazon and it will need no alterations.
I actually got my wedding dress yesterday. I'd originally picked a dress on Dorris Wedding online, but after reading so many negative reviews and warnings not to go there, I decided to actually shop for one. I went to a store called Brilliant Bridal near Phoenix and found the perfect dress. My mother bought it for me and it was less than $500. I didn't want to spend a lot and am so grateful to have found it for a reasonable price. I still need to get it altered but my wedding is 15 months away so I can save up. There are places out there that won't charge an arm and a leg; you just have to look.
I didn’t really have a budget, but wanted to stay around $500. After looking I found that was kind of unreasonable. Before tax it was $799 (half off) then $100 on alterations. Total was under a grand. Which is a lot!
My dress was $1110 after tax and alterations were $395. I got it from a boutique and ordered a veil off of amazon for $20.00. I LOVE my dress but if I could I would try something from azazie or cocomelody and use the extra money elsewhere.
Mine before alterations is $1250. Custom made through Anomalie from a picture I found online on a sketchy website. Couldn't find the designer or a valid site/store to purchase from. Getting a few minor changes done to it though (which is already included in the $1250). This is what the base of my dress will look like.
$27 at forever 21 I get stares or responses of shock when I say it aha I got this evening gown that looks so bridal that people are kind of like what ... This is forever 21? If you go the evening dress route it's cheaper. My goal was to look for a white dress I love rather than a specific wedding dress
Wow guys this makes me very hopeful. We haven't went shopping for our dresses yet but agreed to no more than $500 (each). Her family has given some backlash about the small amount and wants to give her more money. She said ok but only if they do the same for me. Honestly I don't want to spend more than $200 if I don't have to. I want to feel beautiful, bridal, yet comfortable. I'm fine with sprucing up a white/ivory dress that isn't in the "bridal gown" category.
