I have not found a dress yet. My date is in February. I do not want to spend alot of money. I gave myself a budget of $500.00. Looking at different gowns, I know what I do not want the dress to look like/ have. I really just want to be comfortable and cute. I was even thinking about getting a jumpsuit. Im not that much into dresses and I want to be able to dance the night away!
I went to a few boutiques and fell in love with a dress that was about $1600 before alterations (yikes) - I found a VERY similar one online at David's Bridal, went in and tried it on, and bought it the same day!
I spent $599 on a dress that was on sale/off the rack (in my size, yay!) - it's absolutely gorgeous, huge tulle skirt with beading all over the bodice and off the shoulder cap sleeves. It ended up being $661 after tax, but they gave me $20 off my bridesmaid's dress so that was a plus!
Alterations are estimated to be $275-375, but haven't nailed that down yet. It's about what I expected honestly!
There are lots of ways to save money on the dress, but there's a way to find something that strikes the balance of in-your-budget and also makes you feel your best and like a bride! Best of luck to you, you will look stunning and beautiful no matter what

I haven’t purchased a dress yet. But I’m hoping to keep it under $800 with alternations. I have found a few at David’s Bridal & online at Azazie I really like that range $300-$600.
I scored mine for $100 at a BHLDN sample sale! Original price was $1200, no damage or stains and just needs to be hemmed!

I spent right at $1,000 but that was for dress, necklace, bracelet, earrings, and veil. I went ahead and purchased everything I was wearing with I had that "this is the one" moment. As far as my actual dress I got it on sale for $599 at David's Bridal.
My budget was $2000 as well and bought the dress for $1400. Still waiting for it to come in but I was told alterations will be less than $500 since the sample fit me so well and it barely needs to be hemmed. Veil I'll get from Etsy, so I should still be under budget, all in.
Before alterations, $1258 from Davids Bridal. I'm not exactly sure how much alterations will be, but I'll anticipate around $300-$500.
I found my dress at our local bridal warehouse in Florida I paid $560 and won’t need alterations my budget was $3000 I’m happy to put the money into other things. Happy dress hunting ladies and congratulations to all !!

They’re gorgeous! Here is mine! Also, pay attention to the Boutiques wedding wire page. Mine had a coupon that basically covered the cost of the veil!
