In terms of setting a budget, you should talk to him.. they come in a wide range of prices, if that's what you're asking. Mine was $360 1/3 ctw blue and white diamonds.

You're right Hayley; there are so many factors. I am pretty simple, but love sparkles, but at the same time conscious that I don't want him to pay over $500 for my ring, hopefully we will have some luck and find the one

I got two. They were $2100 each.

Mine is a plain platinum band that his father had bought for his mom. It would prob. cost less than $400 today. His band I bought new on ebay from a jeweler for a little less than $300, engraving included.

I have no clue how much my e-ring or my wedding band were. I know it is a set and he will not show me the wedding band until the day we are married. His wedding band cost a bit over $500

FH's band was originally $6000 but since he works at the jewelry store we're getting it from I'm buying it at cost which is significantly less. Mine which I won't see til the wedding day and is being custom made is $4000. Ours are on the higher priced side but that's only because of FH's job. Otherwise I don't see the point in spending over $2000 for both bands

Mine is being custom made for about $1400 and FH's cost a little over $500. Both 14k gold, mine with diamonds.

FH will be about 300 (10k gold - stronger for his job but still sizeable) and mine is an estate set from 1932 we found on Etsy for under 600 (14k yellow and white gold with diamonds).
