If you find one you like and can try it on at a boutique, go online to house of brides (or if you live in Chicago, just go there). I paid $329 for mine when it was $500-600 in the boutiques. I got the petty coat at a thrift store for $6 and a nice bra from VS that i can use again.

$800 with tax. I still thought it was a good deal and was actually a few hundred less than I thought I would spend.

Mine is a DaVinci and I fell in love with it when I tried it on at a local bridal shop. I went home and "ebayed" it and got it for $500....about a $200 savings! I was psyched! =D

I paid $850 CAD for mine (Bonny Unforgettable 1623) at a little local shop. It was the shop's 25th anniversary this month so they paid tax on all dresses....my consultant was nice enough to give me a heads up about the sale more than three months ago. I'll be shelling out a lot of alterations though.....

Mine was a Davinci that my bridal shop was charging 699 for plus tax and alterations, I got it of Netbride.com for $520 with a hollow to hem included. Should just have to have the bust taken in a bit! :0) Netbride is AWESOME i recommend them even for bridesmaids dresses, they dont offer all designers but def. check to see if they have yours before spending at a local shop!

I'm making my own dress, veil, and hair accessories and I've spent $50 for all the materials. I wanted my dress to be special and uniquely mine, so I made it myself.

Spent about $500 from Brides Against Breast Cancer. Demetrios sample dress. It spent its whole life on a mannequin before it found me Smiley smile Drove all the way to Raleigh, NC from Knoxville, TN for this convention. Well worth it. If I spend that much, I'm gonna put it to good use! http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/
