How much did you pay for your Day of Coordinator?

Ellie, on December 11, 2019 at 11:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

My FH and I can't quite decide on what would be the appropriate cost for a DoC? I was curious, how much are you or did you pay for your day of coordinator! Thanks for any info!

Ours is included in the cost of the venue. They have a DOC that works for the venue as a DOC and will handle all of the responsibilities that go with that.

1400 for mine. The team takes over 6 weeks in advance and makes a timeline, coordinates vendors, and takes care of everything day of.

We are paying $1000 and she is with the venue so she knows her way around there!

I got a quote from a coordinator, they don't always call it "day of coordination" because they need to be involved from basically a month before, she quoted $1950. Smiley surprise

    Which will include:

    • one planning meeting (in person or virtually)
    • unlimited phone & email correspondence leading up to the wedding day
    • venue walk through + finalize floor plan (30-45 days out)
    • virtual collaboration on wedding planning documents (ie: timeline, guest seating, contact sheet, personal decor set-up list)
    • vendor contact & coordination to finalize day-of details (1-2 weeks prior to wedding day)
    • create, prepare, communicate & distribute detailed timeline + floor plan to all vendors
    • provide/assist guest food selection template per table (if needed)
    • event schedule for wedding party (per request)
    • direct & manage rehearsal
    • full wedding day coordination, including set up and breakdown of personal decor items for ceremony & reception
    • Liaison + point of contact among client, wedding party & vendors
    • 3 wedding assistants (1 per 75 guests for 10-12 hours)
    • Most importantly, a stress-free wedding day!

I revised the quote with her because I didn't need her at the church, they had their own coordinator. Wedding Management for $1350.

This will include: - One in-person meeting 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding - creation of detailed master timeline of event day - confirmation of vendor services, setup, and strike - virtual collaboration on wedding planning documents (ie: timeline, guest seating, contact sheet, personal decor set-up list) - reception venue walk through - full wedding day coordination, including set up and breakdown of personal decor items for reception only- Liaison + point of contact among client, wedding party & vendors - 2 wedding assistants (for 8 hours)- Most importantly, a stress-free wedding day!
We ended up not going with her because it wasn't in our budget and our florist told us she was going to take care of all of the decor anyway which was all I was worried about. We had our reception at a banquet hall and the manager takes care of all the set up.

$2,500 I have meetings with her periodically leading up to the wedding and then she takes over communication with all vendors 4 weeks before.

Our venue comes with one. Check with your venue, or check your contract you sign with the venue to see if one is included.

We’re paying $1300 for our coordinator. We’ll chat around March/April to get her on board with everything, and she’ll take over about a month out.

We're paying $400 for ours. So grateful we found someone in our area that was so affordable, everyone else we looked at was $1000 or more.

Oh wow! That’s a steal... although she’s cheating herself (but, lucky for you😉). Hopefully her experience and execution are worth much more than she’s charging. Normal rates are more like the those listed above, usually ranging from $1000-$1500

She's just starting out, but she has awesome reviews! This is also her side gig (she has a full-time job) that she told me she does because she enjoys it, so she doesn't feel comfortable charging the norm. Sweetest woman!

Ok yes. That’s what I immediately figured... she‘s starting out and it’s just something on the side.

Our DOC is $450. But we received several quotes over $1,000 as well. The venue also comes with a coordinator but they work for the venue not me so I wanted someone that works for me and would make sure everything gets done that is supposed to be done

Ours is $800 - the venue provides a coordinator, but also requires us to bring one as well.

We're paying $1,200 but she's technically a "month of" coordinator just to help us tie up all the loose ends and have a meeting with us a month out.

That’s a trip! I haven’t seen prices that low for a DOC in years. Even back in 2005, $450 was a bit of an undercut to the industry. But not as major of an undercut as it is now in 2020. Wow!
