How much are you paying for Hair & Makeup?

I am doing my own make up, but its costing me a ton to get all the things that i need for, so i am not really saving, but i know its going to be done right. and hair is 75

Wow! From all of the comments I've seen it makes my hairdresser look like a saint. I knew I was getting a great deal, but I didn't really appreciate how good of a deal she was giving me. Granted, I've been going to her for 5 or 6 years and I'm always a great tipper, but she is doing all hairstyles for $40 and makeup for $25. Hair and makeup for $55.

Plus she's doing my trial hair and makeup, and my mom's trial makeup for free.

Like I said, she's completely awesome and she will be reciving a VERY generous tip for cutting me such a great deal.

I am paying $ 125 for make up and $ 65 for hair.They are both coming to the hotel.

Bride's hair $65, BM $55 and all of our makeup is $25/girl

As far as brides costing more - the bride IS the focus of the wedding AND the wedding photography - plus packing your kit and having colors, textures and brands for EVERY skin tone and skin type is expensive, and important to have on hand for EVERY wedding - prime makeup brands are costly and most brides don't want walmart makeup either - it's the nature of the beast. if the makeup artist is in high demand and you love THEIR work - you can't just go to MAC and have someone try to duplicate what some other artist does - you are paying for expertise and a specialty of that artist - makeup artists that travel to you also have to consider temps for their products when traveling as well as sterilizing each item afterwards, including brushes, palettes, etc. unless you want MRSA or pink eye = if you don't want to pay the price for their knowledge, chances are another bride wants that day. like photography, it's an art form not a tangible good like a table cloth. i hope this helps a little!

$50 for bride including a hair trial and $35 a bridesmaid hair-do. I know the two girls personally, one is pretty much a sister to me and the other is her best Friend. And this is not a discounted price either since I know them. I don't know how much make-up runs but I'll be doing my own most likely.
