How many wedding favors?

Allison, on July 12, 2018 at 9:38 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Hi! for my upcoming August wedding I am looking at 125 attendees, many of which are coupled up. My question is on wedding favors - I've been to enough weddings at this point to see that many favors go untaken. I'm planning to do little jars of honey and have them out as people exit. Do I need to account for 1 per person or can I do 1 per couple with some extras? I want to do the right thing but I also do not want to over order and have a ton left.... advice?

I would do one jar per couple and one jar per each single guest. If a couple grabs two jars, no problem. You'll just have fewer to take home.

    I agree. ^

This is a good favor idea, and you most likely won't be left with too many, as most people only tend to take favors that are edible.

Hi Allison! I love this idea, I think edible favors are the best way to go! Is it homemade honey? I think if you do one jar per couple and then maybe 15-20 extras you should be good to go!

For 125 guests, won’t the favors add up? Unless you really want them, skip ‘em and save the money. Focus on providing a great meal & drinks.

This! Those will add up really fast and you may end up with a TON of tiny jars of honey. You even mentioned that many weddings you go to the favors are left behind. Save yourself the money and the stress
