How Many Speeches Will You Have At Your Wedding?

We are doing open speeches! Our dinner is going to be a "feast style" with all of our friends and family at two long tables, side by side. My vision is allowing whomever to get up and make a toast/speech. Some people HATE speeches, but I think it will be so fun to have people who want to get up and speak during dinner!

Thank You! I'm intrigued to see what all they have to say. My family likes to joke that I was picky before my fiance came along so I know they'll make comments about that in their speeches.

That way, people close to you can still toast to you, but you don't have to take time out of the reception for it, and guests can start dancing sooner. Definitely! You can have however many people talk, but if you do have quite a bit of people that want to say a little something something then make sure they have a time limit. There was one wedding I went to and the bride and groom had so many people talk, and they didn't limit on how long. Therefore, their guests started to loose interests by half way through the speeches. They started scrolling on their phones, walked outside of the venue with their drinks to socialize, etc. So, just keep that in mind for those that do want to give speeches haha.

I'm honestly not sure! I've kind of talked about it by word of mouth to some of the guests who will be there, but I probably should have an announcement of some kind made so people will be prepared if they wanted to speak! Good point!
