How many songs needed to walk down the isle??

Maggie, on July 6, 2017 at 3:25 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

My FH and I are working on songs for our procession and rescission. I was wondering, do we each need our own song and then one for our bridal party? (we each have 7 people) I have my song and he has one he wants to walk out to, and I was thinking we could just use his for the whole bridal party too. Would that work???

I think that would be fine just so you could have enough people for each song to walk! I've seen where there is one song for the bridal party + groom + family and then one for the bride. I would talk with whoever is doing your music to get a feel for the amount of people per song depending on the lengths of the songs. Just to make sure they match up well Smiley smile

Good luck! That's so exciting! Smiley smile

We have one song for FH and the bridal party, and then another for me.

Even with such a large bridal party, most songs are at least 3-4 minutes long, I can't imagine it would take that long for everyone to get down the aisle.

We used one song for grand parents/parents/ DH and all the bridal party and a second song for the bridal entrance....id say maybe 1/3 of it played.

We are using 3 songs. One for immediate family being seated and FH going to the alter, Another for the bridal party and then one for me.

ETA: The full songs likely will not be played. I will tell the DJ to cut them when the last person walks down in that group.

We are doing what you're doing: one song for FH and the wedding party and one song for me.

Thank you all for the advice! @carolyn I didn't even think about the family walking out! I like the idea of looping the songs.
