How many Rsvps did you get in the last week?

Jessica, on April 5, 2019 at 3:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 25
Just wondering if people really wait until the last minute to RSVP? I haven't gotten any in a week and still have a week to go. I know not to follow up until after, really just a curiosity on your experiences. I know if I don't send them when I get it I forget! Lol

This seems weird to me, because when I get an invitation to something, I always RSVP right away--or I'll forget!!

But I've heard a lot of people wait until the deadline to do it. So, if your deadline is April 15, you have to wait a few days or a week to see which ones are still outstanding.

Same here! I was flooded with RSVP responses right away and now haven’t had a single one come in within the last week. My RSVP due date is 4/12 and it is so hard just sitting here waiting.

I don’t know how many I got the week leading up to my rsvp date, but I recall the numbers for AFTER! Ha. It was clear a lot of our guests dropped them in the mail on the date (and maybe after business hours Smiley winking ) — I recall the Monday after our Wednesday deadline when I checked the mail, there were eight cards in there!
i was waiting on 24 reply cards on the due date, and by a week after I had heard from everyone except for one guest!

It’s so bizarre to me. I am still waiting on 10 RSVPs. 2 of them I know wil not be coming because they have mentioned it in passing but I have no clue about the other 8 which equates to 11-14 people (depending on if they bring a plus one or not). I just want to be able to call this finalized so I can finish my seating chart and escort cards. These “looming” tasks give me anxiety as my countdown dwindles.

I sent our invites out on Tuesday....I am having such a hard time "patiently" waiting for them to come in. I know I just sent them out though, so realistically no one has had a chance to send them back. I'm just too excited and can't wait, lol. I just know that our guest list is filled with people that aren't good at RSVPing, so I fear they will keep me waiting till the last minute, or I'll have to do the dreaded follow ups.

We got a LOT of our rsvps in the 2-3 days before the deadline and the week after. Even after that we got a few stragglers because our mail delivery is awful in my neighborhood. And let's not even talk about how many people waited until THE LAST SECOND to rsvp online (we had that as a backup option if needed). And then we STILL had to track down a good 10-15 people after like two weeks.

NO ONE RSVP'd by our date 🤦 even though it was on the invitation and all they had to do was send a text. FH's family said "oh we had to do that" needless to say we finally got it all together and had to contact every single person. Smiley sad

Our RSVP date is 4/13 and we’re still waiting on about 90 people 😭 I’m getting really discouraged.

My invitations are electronic and it sends a weekly reminder once a week to those who have not RSVP'd. It also shows who have and have not opened the invite. It's really convenient, but I don't know what the remaining people are waiting for who haven't responded...it's frustrating, lol

I send out 25 or 27 invitations and I got 6 RSPV back in total. And that was within the first 2 to 3 weeks we send the invites. Nothing after that. I guess people don’t rsvp anymore.

What site are you using for your invites? I want electronic too because most of our guests are tech savvy.

I hope this doesnt come across as terrible, but i am SO relieved to find out it isnt just us! Our rsvp date is 4/12 and were still waiting to hear back from about 80 people. Quite a few of the people who havent rsvp’d are in the wedding party... lol but its still incredibly stressful. Ive been reaching out to people, but mainly just to make sure people actually did get their invites just because there are SO many we are waiing for. Seems like i am not the only one, but after reading some of these comments i am hoping we get a decent amount in the week after so i dont have to go crazy with following up

It's called Greenvelop, it's really neat! You can detail in any and every way! I have it set to where there's an RSVP deadline and anyone who didn't RSVP, can't after the deadline, but you can have the option for them to if you wanted.

It's not terrible! Everyone knows, especially thoughs who have been married that RSVP's are required! We have a couple of people who said they were going to go when we sent out the save the dates. Since the invitations, they haven't responded at all...we've called, sent messages and they don't respond. The kicker is they'll respond when it's unrelated to the invite, and one of them said they'll help with the centerpieces. At this point, it's rude on their end.

I really hope this won't be a problem for us. I know my mom will be on top of my family, and family friends.
