How many of your guests RSVP'd yes?

MzRosaLu, on May 13, 2015 at 10:04 AM Posted in Planning 0 31

For those who are married, or have received all RSVPs already: what percentage of your guest list actually RSVP'd yes? I've seen all these guest list calculator websites but not sure what's the best way to think about these numbers. We guaranteed 90 guests when we booked our venue. Currently we have 100 guests on our draft of the guest list. About 90% of the guests are local, only a few out of towners. I'm wondering if we should add more people to the list to ensure we meet our minimum of 90 guests. If so, how many more? Any thoughts about this?

I'm sure there have been posts like this before, but trying to google (since I'm on mobile) is not giving me the results I'm looking for.

About 80% of our guests RSVP'd yes. It's really a crap shoot with guessing how many will come. Surprisingly, almost all of our out of town guests are coming. I would probably invite a little more to make sure you meet your minimum, but be prepared in case most of them show up.

So far, out of 112 sent, we've had 3 (6 guests) come back as declines. And about 5 or so guests that were given a Plus One but aren't bringing anyone. We have about 20 or so left yet to receive back and our due date is Saturday.

Most of our guests are local...2 of the declines were not, but were due to newborns and family health issues. The third was from local guests.

So far 122 invited, 98 accepted, 8 declined...waiting on 16. I think we will have 8 out of those 16 as a yes.....just from what I kinda heard from the guest we are waiting on.

If you have people to add I would definitely invite ~10 more people just to be safe. We invited 140 people and only 85 accepted. A lot of our guest list was out of town (2-3 hr drive... though that's nothing for me) so our acceptance rate was much lower than we expected. Luckily our venue hadn't instituted food/beverage minimums yet when we booked because we originally told them 120 guests! But I guess that's what happens when you get married on a holiday weekend AND most of your family is out of town..... :/

    We invited 112 people.

69 accepted, 39 declined, and the last few are prob going to be more declines due to health.

The 39 declines is mostly on FH's side, they are the closest to our venue.

We had to guarantee 175. so we invited 230 because they say 20% say no. Well my calculations were correct. 180 RSVP'd yes and 46 RSVP'd no. So we hit our minimum and have a couple extra lol.

We had about 80% respond yes. Most of the declines were people choosing not to bring a guest.

We had 64/115 say yes. A lot were out of town people. Luckily we didn't have a minimum or anything like that.

I had 99 out of 120 invites. Good thing too because I could only fit 100 (never do what I did).

So far 80 yes, 25 no, and waiting on about 180 more.

We're going to have more "no's" than most people because 1) kind of hard to get to location, although some are making a vacation out of it, and 2) a lot of FH's family was invited, cousins etc, who's names he doesn't even know (talk about not close) but FMIL insisted. All my family has said yes so far

Invited 215 people. 169 RSVP'd yes. Only 138 people actually showed.

I think my case was a bit rare though. Apparently, I seem to have found every inconsiderate asshole that we know and invited them.
