How many mua/hair artists do you need?

I'm going to have a total of nine people getting hair and makeup done. How many makeup artists and hair artists should you have onsite with you? The place we're considering said one of each.

We had 9 people getting their hair done, but only 4 of us we're doing pro makeup. We had 2 hairstylist and 1 MUA, and everyone was done in under 4 hours.

I would say 2-3 at least of each. I was in a wedding where we had 12 people getting hair and makeup done - there were 3 MUA and 4 hair stylists and it still took 5-6 hours.

They told me 2 would be enough for 7 of us....me, 4 bridesmaids, my mom and my FMIL. The total time to get ready will be about 4 hours. If there was more of a time crunch she would have probably needed to send another person
