8 hours with two photographers. The ceremony and reception will be 6.5 hours and I'll have 1.5 hours for getting ready photos. And everything is happening at one location so there's not travel time either.
We have two photographers that are for 7 hours each with staggered start times. We have not finalized the actual timeline as one of us (me) wants first look photos and someone else wants to be surprised.
I think I'll be doing about 4-6 hours for photos. I didn't really want the whole reception covered since guests can take photos during that time anyway. I really just want family photos and pictures with my groom. Plus, we're not doing a first look. We have a second shooter which should help lessen the amount of time we have someone.
This was such a hard choice for me. Photography is so important to me but when I saw the cost I was convinced we would have to do a short session with one photographer. We really wanted as much as possible captured so we opted for 8 hours of coverage with two photographers. Other than the venue its the biggest cost for our wedding, but the day will live on forever through photos we wanted it done right
I will have 6 hours of photo coverage. My photographer has a newborn so she doesn’t want to be away for long. I think I will be able to make that time frame work!
