Most brides wear one dress, some change during the reception... How many dresses are too many for a bride on her wedding day???

I think that depends on the Bride and her personality. I know of a Bride that wore 4 dresses in one day, 1st one all day before the wedding, 2nd ceremony, 3rd reception and 4th one for the plane ride (b/c they were leavin that night well after the recepyion around 2 in the AM). And I mentioned the 1st dress b/c she went shopping specifically for it well for ALL 4 dress'. So I say whatever floats your boat. :o) hehe I feel like my gma when I say that.

I agree with the others, but honestly I do think 3 is too many. If I went to a wedding where she had 3 I would think that is a little too much. Nobody needs 3 dresses for one evening.

I think I'm going to have something simple on all day (like sweats and a tank top lol) then I was going to change into a something "cute" when the photographer comes to take the "getting ready" pics with the BMs, then my dress and that's it Smiley smile

I'm getting only one "wedding dress" but that's just me... some people get way more. I know that in Chinese weddings they change a few times. I'm not sure what the reason is though. But I feel bad for FH b/c my dress has buttons all down the back, he's going to have one hell of a time trying to help me take it off... I just hope he doesn't give up and make me sleep in it lol =[

Different cultures have different views on "how many". In some Asian cultures the more dresses the bride changes into the more status she is perceived to have. For me it will be only one dress, all day, I am paying enough for it and I will get some value out of it.

Personally I think any more than 1 is too much but that's just me. :-) I actually had never even heard of a bride changing dresses throughout the day until I started watching bridal shows on TV!

Well I will probably have a cute sundress, since it is easy for setting up and before the wedding. Then a wedding dress and maybe a reception dress (I still need to decide on this). I don't think that is weird.

I think that anything more than 2 is too many. Personally, I wore one dress the whole time. I paid enough for it and I was only going to wear it once, might as well wear it the whole time. If you are going to get another dress then I think that one for the ceremony and one for the reception would be enough. There is no point in having anything more than that. Takes away from time with your husband and guests cause you have to go change your clothes.

I am investing in some nicer pjs, to go with the robe I bought for my friend's wedding, so that I dont feel too bad having photos taken while my make up is being done!

Not really two dresses, but sort of two outfits, ish

I wanted 2 dresses until I tried on my wedding dress. I can't imagine taking it off. I want hundreds of pictures in that dress.

I'm only going to do two.

I don't want to spend a whole lot of my time changing clothes! I want to enjoy my dear friends and family.

I think 2 is enough. I was debating on this with my mom and Fh and they all said that why change the dress when I am going to wear it only once, and I am going to spend soo much on it to just take it off, not cool. But it really depends on you.
