How many dance lessons do we need?

So we did dance lessons for our first dance! We paid $100 per session as well. Our instructor told us 2-3 sessions is fine if you just want to learn basic moves but for a choreographed routine that you nail down you’ll need 8-10. We ended up doing 10 lessons.

The speed of learning (and making the dance look natural and not awkward) will depend on your skill level, rhythm and coordination. How well do you currently do with dancing and learning new moves?

Yes I agree with PP !! It all Depot da on you both personally— try one and see how it goes and then go from there

I agree with the posters above. It will depend on your skill level. If you both have a good amount of experience and pick things up quickly you may not need that many lessons. If you are planning a fully choreographed dance it may take 10 lessons or more. My husband and I are experienced dancers and wanted to learn the foxtrot. We did so using YouTube lessons because we pick things up quickly and dancing comes easily to us. It still took about a month for us to figure out our dance and to practice and fine tune before the wedding.

We are not doing dance lessons. I feel it's necessary. So its not for us, but I know many people who have.

We are going to take 1-2 classes for him to learn to spin me out and dip me without dropping me - haha!
