How long were you dating your S.o before they proposed?

Sounds like your fiancé is waiting for the perfect time to propose! FH and I were dating 2 years when he popped the question. We planned to marry on our 4 year anniversary, but Covid put a stop to that. We will now be getting married on our 6 year anniversary

He proposed just after our 3 year anniversary! By the time of our wedding we'll have been together about 4 and a half years!

We dated for a little over 3 years before he proposed & I was so surprised because I thought he was going to wait until after I had graduated from college. By the time we get married it’ll be 5 years, & it we’ll actually be getting married on the 5 year anniversary of us first saying “I love you” (totally unintentional but ended up being perfect)

We dated for one year. My husband's mom told me he had plans to propose earlier and had the ring for a while. He was just was waiting for the right moment. Lol ♥️

He proposed after 6 years of dating, and we were married a month after our 7th year anniversary.

We have been dating for 2 years when he proposed, but we have known each other and been best friends for 18 years.

3 years of dating then he proposed

He proposed after 6 1/2 years of dating and we'll be married a month after our 8 year anniversary.

I have a 2 part of his long before he proposed. The 1st time, we were together for 11 years before we broke up & I moved away. We were apart for 6 years-obviously we dated/lived with other people. In 2016, I was in town for my grandmother’s 100th birthday party when I reached out to him to meet for dinner. I’m a recovering alcoholic & needed to make my amends to him. When he came into the restaurant & I looked at him, my heart skipped a beat & I knew he was always the one for me. We got back together that weekend & eventually we talked about marriage. I didn’t want to be 60 years old & being introduced as the girlfriend! We looked & bought my ring in March 2019 but I didn’t know when he was going to propose. He proposed June 2019-3 years after we got back together!

My husband asked me two weeks into dating if I would "marry him someday".

We were teenagers, so I laughed and told him to ask me again after I graduated. So he did. That was about four years later, and that time I said yes.

We were together for 8 years before he proposed. He was waiting for the right moment and then; well Covid happened, lol.


We knew we would be getting married so we planned our wedding for a few years before making it “official” with the ring.We even booked our venue and vendors before he actually proposed since we knew it was happening and we wanted things booked immediately especially with people postponing and stuff and things filling up quickly.

A little over 3 years of dating here proposed. I was fully in the know, it was a formality really. We got married last week, 4.5 years in.

We dated for 5 years before he proposed, we also talked a lot about weddings prior to him proposing since we both had an idea of what location and season we want.
