There are no rules about who should be your bridesmaid, or even if you need to have them at all. Who you pick is entirely up to you.

Bridesmaids are typically close friends of the bride who support her in the lead up to the wedding (and the day of) and sometimes help out with planning things etc. Choose people who you want to share the special day with and who you can count on, don't worry about trivial things like how long you've known the person

It’s about the relationship, not the length of it. There’s no timeline on friendship! If you want her beside you, you should definitely ask her.

There is no minimum or maximum years of friendship required to be a bridesmaid. Just ask whoever is closest to you 🙂.

It's the strength of the friendship, not the length of time that matters. If you can't imagine your day without her standing beside you, that's a great indication! I knew 2 of my bridesmaids from college (14 years or so) ane from preschool (29 years) and my older brother was my man of honor (32 years, lol).
