How long did it take you?

Once I finally go to so shopping I picked the second dress I tried on. It's not always that easy for everyone. I have a friend who went to 6 shops before she found her dress.

I went to 2 bridal shops and tried on 8 dresses before I fell in LOVE with one, but ultimately decided (for budget and sentimental reasons) to wear my mother's dress from 1982.

I went to one shop, tried on maybe 6-7 dresses and ended up choosing number 4 I believe. I kept comparing every dress after to number 4, so I took that as a sign. Then again, I'm having a bit of dress regret, but I'm hoping that goes away once it actually comes in in my size and I get to see myself in it again

I went to one appointment and went with the 6th??? dress that I tried on.

3 bridal shops in one day and it was between the first dress at the first shop and the last dress at the last shop. I went with the last . Don't feel like you have to settle, and be open to other styles. Sometimes the "one" may be something you never saw yourself in. Good luck!

I found mine at the third store, I tried on probably around 60 dresses total and looks at a lot online too.

Only a dozen? Yeah I had to try on way more than that haha!

I got mine online one day kind of randomly aha. Was staring at something and just decided what the heck go for it and luckily it came out really beautifully.

I shopped in 5 stores and tried on about 9 dresses before finding The One.

I had one dress shopping appointment, and fell in love with the 10th dress I tried on. It would have been the first one I tried, except the consultant knew I liked it best out of all the online picks I had, so he saved it for last, thinking correctly that it might be the one!! It was!!!

I went to one boutique with my list of 3 dresses. They pulled the 3 and 2 more that were similar. I tried on the first one that was from my list and I loved it. I compared the other 4 to the first one so I decided that must be my dress. I'm still in love with it.

Only one store, 4th (5th?) dress. They kept trying to clear the rack by taking it and I kept saying no.

Don't worry! Every dress shopping experience is different. I was lucky enough to find my dress on the first appointment, but I didn't really expect that to happen!

I ALMOST said yes at my first appointment, but my mom told me I should wait since it was my first time trying on dresses and I should think about it. I ended up doing lots of research online, making a list of similar dresses I wanted to try on, and even going to Kleinfeld! After those two appointments I finally found a boutique that could order all the dresses from my online list (including the first one I almost said yes to). Once I tried on all of those dresses, I ended up saying yes to a completely different dress than the first one I thought I loved! I am so glad I waited!

I went to ten shops! But I have no doubt now that I've found it!

It took me a week. I went to 2 stores. I went to the first store and fell in love with 3 dresses, and decided to go back later to try them on again. I went to a 2nd store a week later, and it was a big swing and a miss, and my mom and I decided to go back to the 1st store to look at dresses for her before she left to go back home the next day. We ended up looking through the wedding gowns again to look at the dress I was torn on, and I found the dress I ended up buying. I fell in love with it and thought it was perfect and gushed about it for 2 weeks. Then in the 3rd week I got dress regret and I’ve been fighting it ever since D: it’s been almost 3 months. I wish I’d bought one of the other 3 dresses, but I can’t take it back now.

It took me three shops! Before I went dress shopping, I had been browsing used wedding dresses online. The first shop I went to I went with just my mom and found a dress that I absolutely loved. I didn't end up buying it because I wanted to still go dress shopping with my friends and also didn't want to just buy the very first dress I fell in love with on the chance that I might see something I love better. I went to the second shop with my friends and tried on a few dresses. My friends really loved two of them that I tried on but looking back I wonder if their opinions and "omg I love this dress, buy it" comments influenced me too much...I decided to wait and went to another shop and by now it was very easy to know what I like and don't like in a dress and I actually ended up finding and saying yes to my dress. I was getting discouraged because up until then I never had a "moment" about a dress. There were dresses I loved but I was like YES THIS IS THE ONE about.

Have you been dress shopping with friends? Because maybe try go solo for once! I think too many opinions can sway you and when I went the last time, not even my mom made comments about the dresses I tried on haha which honestly helped.

You might just need a break from dress shopping too! The one girl at one of the shops said that after a while, dress shopping gets hard because all the dresses start to run together. You can only do the same style so many times. Take a month off or so and start again with a fresh slate! I would also suggest not settling on a dress!! You will find the one, I promise! (:
