How long did it take you to write vows?

I’ve been writing my vows on and off for like two years lol! My wedding is the 27th of this month and I havent finished them yet!! Hopefully they are good and capture my true feelings.

I sat down and wrote mine in about 10 minutes one day, a few months before the wedding. I hadn't seen my (now husband) in a few weeks due to travel and I found the words came quite easily. That 10 minutes of writing TOTALLY paid off because last weekend at our ceremony my vows even made the groomsmen cry!

We are getting married Saturday. I wrote mine 2 days ago and FH wrote his tonight!

I wrote mine a week before! I like to wait till the last minute. But they turned out great and glad I wrote my own instead of doing the traditional route.

I wrote my vows a few months ago and I took me a day to write them. I am getting married April 20, 2019.

I have been writing mine since we got engages. Tweaking them here and there.

I don't think FH has started his.

Still in the process... overall, adding all the time taken, this is probably going to take me at least several hours to complete. We are getting married in less than a month and I started my vows MONTHS ago. I have a little book that I keep on me so I can write down things that inspire me along the way. Maybe like 5 minutes here and there jotting things down but I have spent a few hours here and there researching, trying to get inspired for "the feel" of my vows. I sat down last weekend and maybe spent 30 minutes looking for some inspiration and writing quotes and such, also got at least a little portion written.

While I don't want to write personal vows and I would rather just go with whatever our officiant creates, we are writing our own because it is important to my Fiance. But as much as I don't want to do this, I don't think I could ever regret taking time to express my love for him in front of our family.
