FH and I are having a discussion on how long is the right time for our honeymoon. I want to go for 9 days and 8 nights, he thinks that is too long. We're going to Jamaica, 2 of those days will basically be nothing but traveling. He wants to go for 8 days 7 nights only one day difference but I just...

Sheesh if I was rich I would take a month long honeymoon haha. How long are you planning on going and where are you going to?

We're going to Cozumel Mexico for 9 night 10 days...luckily we get there at noon on our first day (although we have to be at the airpost at 5am!) so we really still have that whole day to lay out/explore/relax and be in bed early after the early morrning...And out trip home isn't until the afternoon so we won't have to get up early that day!

@Brittany we wanted to go to Cozumel too, it's so beautiful and it also has the 2nd largest reef in the world second to the great barrier reef. Should be some great diving in store for you.

@Mrs.T maybe after we both get back home from our honeymoons we can swap information and then I'll go to Venice and Rome and you can go to Jamaica Smiley smile

@Megan, I'll let you know how we like it that way you can know for sure where to take your cruise to Smiley winking

That's awesome Megan, I'm jealous. I've never been one one. I've never really been out of the U.S. before except to Canada. Speaking of which, does anyone have any advice on when exactly to get our passports?

We are staying at the hotel with our guests the night of the wedding, then doing 7 days, 6 nights camping in NorCal. Which will include a stop at a Renaissance festival and might also include a drive up to visit my best friend in OR.

Yay Danie I am from Nor Cal! Born and raised there in Folsom, by sacramento :-). Tee you should get passports 2 months before honeymoon. It takes about a month to get it. Do you have your birth cert? And I am jealous that you been to Canada because I haven't lol. You can get passport at City Hall or Post Office.

We haven't decided yet. If we can afford it we will be doing a 14 day 13 night cruise to Hawaii but if we can't we will be doing a 7 day 6 night cruise to the mexican rivera. We don't want to pay airfaire so those are really the only two places we can get a cruise from Southern California too. The Hawaiin cruise is considerably more money so I'm leaning towards the Mexican Rivera one even thought I would love to have a 14 day 13 night honeymoon

We're going to be staying in Playa Del Carmen for 4 night and than going over to Cozumel for 4 nights. But we're also taking our Honeymoon about 45 days after the wedding so we can let things calm down before heading out for that long.

I love Hawaii @BritNhe, but a friend of mine just got married on the Riviera and her pics were so amazing and she had an awesome time. So either way, you're going to have a blast in an amazing location. @Danie, you're going to have so much fun camping and at your renaissance fair! I've never been before so make sure and post pics so we can see how much fun you had. Since you're going to be in OR you could come up and visit me and Megan haha, we live in WA.

And just an update WW kids, FH and I decided on 8 days 7 nights. It's kinda screwy though because no matter what day we fly out on it's going to be an overnight so instead of flying out monday, we're flying out sunday night at 10:30 and we'll get to Jamaica the next morning. Then flying home the next monday afternoon. YAY!! Every time I think of Jamaica I think of the movie Cocktail... Sigh.

Aww tee yea I get married on a saturday that so many cruises are only on saturdays and sundays and most are in east coast. I won't be surprised if we have to fly red eye right after the wedding on same day. It is okay, I can have first married sex on the cruise lol :-)

Nice! We looked at all the Couples resorts- It was so hard to choose between them!! We narrowed it down to Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril. Hurray! I'm excited- they look amazing! I have never ever been on a vacation anything like this- it's beyond what I expected we'd be able to do. I'm so thankful!!

How did you pick between the two? We're still up in the air but we both seem to like swept away a little better it seems more secluded. We were reading on Couples tower isle they have a boat that takes you to a private nude beach lol I was like umm... no. hahaha.
