How far in advance should you purchase your wedding dress?

I bought mine about 10 months before my wedding. I would say you could start shopping no sooner than 12 months before your wedding.

I purchased mine about 10 months before my wedding. The only thing I will say is, once you find THE ONE, stop shopping. I have heard many stories of dress regret, myself included, and I think it’s because I bought mine so early and had time to second guess myself

I’m getting married in March of 2019 and I bought my dress a month ago. I stopped looking at dresses (unless someone posts a picture) and I stopped looking at my pictures lol. I’m in love w my dress and don’t want to second guess it!

Start shopping once you're around the weight you think you'll be at for the wedding! Personally I bought mine over a year in advance (wanted to get it when my MOH was visiting from out of town) but my weight has been the same for about a decade lol

I'm getting married October 13th of this year and I bought mine October 14th last year. I'm down 25 lb since then and that is what fittings are for. It was better for me to do it early because that way it was a relief do I have found the dress I fell in love with. It also helps with motivation :-).

I was wondering this too. I’m getting married October 2019 as well! My date is the 25th. 😊

I plan on going to 3-5 salons over 3-4 months, so I'm starting 13 months out!

I bought mine 10 mths before the wedding. I lost weight prior to shopping. I think Anytime earlier could result in dress regret.

I bought mine 8 months before! And I still love it can’t wait for alterations and it to look perfect
