How do you ask someone to be in your wedding?

My friend made me a small card, she is a scrapbooker. It looked like a small purse and when you opened it up there was an adorable poem in it. At the end of the poem it said "will you be my bridesmaid?"

When I asked my wedding party I ordered cards from greeting card universe to give to them.

I wanted to do something really special, but my wedding party is long distance. I just called them on the phone, I thought I would regret not doing something really special...but they were so thriled and it all turned out. I was going to write a nice card and send it to them.

I HAD CARDS MADE ASKING EACH PERSON THAT I WAS CONSIDERING TO BE A PART OF OUR WEDDING.EX. DEAR ERIKA, CONGRATULATIONS SWEETIE, OF ALL THE GIRLS I KNOW YOU ARE ONE OF THE ONES I WANT STANDING NEXT TO ME WHEN I SAY I DO; YES THAT'S RIGHT I'M GETTING MARRIED AND AM ASKING YOU TO BE A PART OF MY BIG DAY. WILL YOU PROUDLY DO ME THE HONOR OF BEING A BRIDESMAID IT WILL MEAN ALOT TO ME. PLEASE SAY."YES".

I wrote each a poem and put it in a frame.

The day, the dress

The bride, the groom

The joy, the tears

Will all come so soon

Professing true love

To my husband-to-be

With family and friends

All watching me

I hope the sun will

Be shining down,

Keep your fingers crossed

That I'll fit in my gown…

But there's just one more thing

that there needs to be…

and that's to have you

Standing with me!

Personally I'd probably prefer to receive a phone call. But that's mostly 'cause I dont' check my mail that often and it would probably get ignored for days.

I made frames of special pictures and all from throughout our friendships. They didn't know what it was for, nor did they even know I was engaged yet. I found out my FH was proposing (though I had no idea when) a few months before so I had it all ready. They next two days after the engagement I went around to them all and gave it to them in person. I then handed them a gift and told them to read the card first. It just said, "Will you please do me the honor of being my bridesmaid?" When they looked up I held out my hand with the ring. They were pretty excited.

I make cards, so I made one especially for my MOH (my only bridesmaid) in colors for the wedding. I wrote about how she has been a great friend and supported me & my FH's relationship.

Not at all!! That's why I shared it! I found one for my flower girl too and for my matron of honor, I just changed it from bridesmaid to matron of honor! Glad you like it!

I just sent a text with my a picture of my ring the night we got engaged and said, "will you be my bridesmaid?"

They loved it!
