How did you utilize your wedding photos?

I had a Catholic mass, a beautiful cocktail hour on the water and our venue was brand new with a beautiful view. We had our photographer take about 2,000 pictures, so you can imagine how challenging it was to pick! Our photographer doesn’t create booms but just gave us the digital files. My plan was to create a wedding album book (like ZNO, artifact uprising). A photographer (who also grew up in catholic faith) encouraged me to take advantage and use one photo book for the whole mass, so I’ll be having two books.

I heard some people are only printing their pics and using the books as a highlight book. Some are picking their best photos of everything and putting in a book. Are wedding books supposed to be just highlights only? We made highlight books for our parents already and bc they’re so old school, I think they’re expecting printed ones too

I had an album my husband gifted me as a wedding gift and I filled it with photos. It was like maybe 200 photos it held or so. And then I chose my four favorite photos and printed them as large canvases and displayed them in my home

Our package included an album, but it only had 50 photos, so we will be ordering another. Our package also included a canvas print. We will be printing pictures to do a photo display in our bedroom and probably a few more throughout our home. If they aren't going in a frame, we aren't printing them. I don't see the purpose.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Are wedding books supposed to be just highlights only?" What else would you use the album for? Like to print every single photo?

As far as your parents receiving prints, can you give them access to your digital photos so they can print whatever they want?

Our photography package included a wedding album that can hold up to 150 pictures. We are currently choosing some pictures to create that album. It also included a $100 print credit, which we are going to use to get a canvas. We will get other things printed off and display it around our home. We gave everyone in the wedding party access to our online gallery, so they can print off whatever they like.

We did photo books for our parents for Christmas this past year. They were more of a highlight of the day, from getting ready to the end of the reception. We also made ourselves one, but again, more of a highlight of the entire day, but contained more photos than the ones we made our families.

We had 3 of our favorite photos put on canvas and hung in our home, as well has had a couple of others framed.

We had almost 2,000 pictures as well and I made our photo book. I tried to use all the pictures I loved and it was just too many. The pages were too cramped and it was up to like 40 pages.
I instead did just bride and groom photos for our book. One portrait per page. I used Shutterfly and wanted to take advantage of their unlimited pages (but upgraded pages are free 😫) I got 40 page album anyway, lol. Great quality. I love our book!
For our parents I printed pictures and put them in an album. Their albums had probably 200 pictures. We also got canvas made for each set of parents. I have a few printed and put around the house for us.
