How Did You Pick Your Caterer? Chicago Park District Preferred Caterers List

Christa, on April 7, 2015 at 1:21 PM Posted in Planning 1 3

Hey WW! I am considering the Chicago Park District South Shore Cultural Center. CPD requires that you use one of their preferred caterers. If you had your wedding at CPD (or even used one of the caterers from the list), can you tell me why you went with the vendor you selected, how was your experience working with them, and how much on average was your cost per person? Thanks!

I'm sad to see no comments here. I have the same question! So far it seems like Conn's and Corky's are the least expensive options based on these choices. Anyone have any input?

Same question here. I hope we get some answers from actual past brides. We have been quoted around 12,000 by Corky's for 150. Jewell's has quoted us 17,000. Waiting to hear back from Conn's.

So I've reached out to pretty much off the options on there I thought might be low budget. We have a guest list of about 120, buffet style dinner and only doing wine and beer for alcohol. Corky's came in as the cheapest but they didn't have the upgraded wine and beer we wanted ($9,300). Also they really didn't seem to care about us at all so I nixed them. Conn's was super sweet, but they came in at $12,000 and weren't able to go lower. We're currently debating between Marcello's and Wishbone who both came in at $10,000. Going to do a tasting with both and then decide. Good luck!
