How did you handle wedding stress

Philippe's & Racheal, on November 25, 2019 at 3:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
I'm 249 days away from my wedding and I'm stressed out. I have everything planned and booked but I'm still making payments to every one and still have stuff to order and to do. Money tight right and it's stressing me out. I'm working all the over time I can and putting back money still not eough and by time I get done paying all the bills I have eough money to put gas in my car. How did you guys deal with the stress or how did you guys make it to where you could go out and pamper self or do something for you? I'm trying to stay strong for my FH.

It doesn't even need to be anything that costs money when it comes to self care. Just even taking time away from wedding planning to do something enjoyable for yourself where you can take a break is good for you. Such as going for a walk to just clear your mind. Sometimes you just need to pause and breathe

Take some you time out of your busy day. Write in a journal or dance it out. Those have been hopeful.

I took a month off from planning. I was still saving money but I did not book or plan anything and that helped a lot.

I might try to do that. See if that helps. I'm at the point where I want to do something for me now.

I agree. I took weeks off of wedding planning when it got too stressful or overwhelming. My fiancé and I schedule time to talk about wedding things and that way our time together isn’t consumed with wedding talk, and we can focus on normal stuff.

I agree with a PP who posted about taking a break. It can work wonders if you step away from the situation for a while. That way you can return to planing refreshed and with new perspectives! Don't burn yourself out Smiley heart

The biggest tip to being stress-free is to plan a wedding that you can actually afford. If the wedding is putting financial strain on the rest of your life and consuming it so much of it that you can’t take a break and relax, then you are in over your head (financially) simply for a wedding. Maybe you can make some adjustments to your plans in order to save a little money. Best Wishes!

Just try to focus on the excitement honestly. The wedding stress won’t last forever, and neither will the excitement! Also I was so stressed about money during our engagement but remember you’ll probably get a lot of gifts at your wedding so you’ll end up having more than you think at the end of it.

Gen thank you so much and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I trying to keep my mind on the excitement things and keep my mind on good vibs. But I have my hard days where it feels like everything beating down on me. 242 days left until my big day
