How did you deal with the last minute stress?

Mika, on November 1, 2013 at 9:44 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

We're leaving for Kansas Thursday night after work, and 6 days is a completely terrifying number!!! I've been so relaxed about this wedding the whole time, but now that it's practically on me, I am FREAKING OUT. Almost everything is done... I still need to get the ceremony music onto a device, but I can do this weekend, and FH and I will be packing for the honeymoon starting Monday when he gets back from his bach party. Really, nothing is an emergency at this point, and everything should be calm anticipation, but it's not. So what are you ladies doing to cope with the last minute stress? What works to take your mind off of it all?

THANKS!!!

I don't know, Mika. I am 7 days away, and I feel ok. Mostly I just feel like if something goes wrong, who cares? Its a funny story for the grandbabies. Maybe I'm too tired to really care, haha. I delegated where I could, and so its not all hanging on my shoulders. I'd love a massage though.

Focus on all you have done to this point..From what it sounds like if you are 6 days out and just need the music on a device and packing for the HM it seems like you are in good shape..At this point (2 years ago!) I was still writing my vows, had to do place cards with my dad (lol), table numbers, etc. So just have a glass of wine and think about how awesome your day will be and how much fun you will have on the HM :-)

    ETA: it's 5:00 somewhere, right?

Exercise! I ran like a mad woman and it helped a lot! Also, booze helps!

Lol, Went out with the work gals last night, so I'm regretting the booze a bit today, Nicole! It was very fun at the time though Smiley smile I'm not sure why I'm so stressed out, honestly there's not much that could go wrong and ruin the whole day, so I don't know why I can't just calm down, but for some reason, I just can't let go!

Take time to yourself, get a mini massage, go for a pedicure, make sure youre eating healthy, and sweating every day (if you dont sweat your body cant release those stressy hormone chemicals) i do yoga for at least an hour, especially if i cant sleep and feel restless, but honestly if i dont exercise everyday or walk a mile then my mind will just run on stress!

There there Mika. Amy is right, we just have to let it go. Currently I am fine because I have confidence in myself and fiance that we have planned the best we can up until this point. The day will be wonderful as long as he is the one at the end of the aisle. Remember that that is the point of all this. Through all the teeth gnashing and drama, the day is about the love you and your FH have for each other! Good Luck dear!
