How did koozies as wedding favors work out for you?

Jazz, on April 25, 2019 at 9:54 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 19

I bought 75 blank koozies from Amazon and my sister will be putting the design on them. For anyone who did koozies, how did they work out for you? Did you feel it was a waste? We are having about 75 guests and I'm wondering if I should save myself $15 and return 25 of the koozies because I'm worried I'll have a lot left over or something. Were they well received for you? Editttted a typo

Funny you bring this up I'm in a group on Facebook and someone asked this same question and everyone said no one wants them over 600 comments all saying no, but most would take and throw out at home only people that will keep will be you guys and maybe close family members I wouldn't waste money on them.

I've seen a few people on here say skip them but someone made a good point saying that it can be regionally based which I thought was a good point. I'm from Texas so I think they will be decently received, and it's a destination wedding and I'm making the koozie destination themed (more about Estes Park and the mountains). I'm actually part of a facebook group for brides in my area so maybe I'll ask on there!

Depends. I have zero use for koozies and most of our friends don't use them either; I throw them away. Whenever we have summer parties everyone just drinks cans/bottle of beer as is, same with soda. It could very well be regional though as Jazz stated!

We ran out of them half way through the night! We ordered 80 for our 166 person wedding. We knew our crowd, though. People love to hunt/camp/fish/have fires around here, people love to use koozies. We ran out of koozies and I'm so glad we did! Many people took more than 1, so I'm glad I saved a few for my husband and I! We were just at a friends house this weekend that was using our wedding koozie!

I know many people talk down on these as favors, (this was not our only favor), but we knew people would use them in our friends/family.

How did koozies as wedding favors work out for you? 1

We did Koozies and we loved it! Guests were able to use them the day of since our wedding was outside and in the summer, and also we still use them all the time for parties at our house, and our guests send us pics of them using them all the time Smiley smile I’m glad it was something people could use and didn’t just throw away. But I guess you just need to know your audience!

My friend had a lot left over and she gave us like 5 of them. We "collect" koozies so they never get used since we have our favorites. It just depends on your crowd. If there aren't a lot of drinkers then I would save the money.

A couple of people I know have done koozies (Chicagoland). Everyone I know use them a lot but we also all have A LOT of them. Usually they end up in a drawer and make a random appearance here and there which gets everyone reminiscing. I usually color coordinate mine to the activity...Softball team is green so I bring green ones, hockey team is fire colors so reds/oranges/yellows are choice. 4th of July I carry my red, white and blue ones, labor day weekend I usually bring the ones that have been forgotten for a while at the bottom of the drawer... I love them and it's nice getting new ones from time to time cause they do get worn out and nasty after a while.

Save your money! Unfortunately, koozies aren’t something that people want, need or use (although that’s the case with most favors). Lol! And it’s even less desired with someone’s wedding logo on it.

Went to a few weddings where this was the favor. Some people love them and use them. However mine have stayed in the junk drawer in our kitchen. Maybe they will get used someday, I don't know. I do have friends who collect and use koozies every summer though. So it does depends on your crowd.

This is a know your crowd thing. We’re koozie people. We usually grab extra from weddings if other people are leaving theirs behind. We do a lot of summer hosting and like to have koozies for our guests!

My sister has like 12 koozies from different weddings she's been to. She personally loves them and uses them all the time, but she's the only person I know that has anything like that. I think it's a cool idea, but it's probably a know your crowd thing. Our family uses koozies all the time for cookouts, canoeing, camping, etc. But I rarely see anyone else using them.

I own a business and we sell coozies. So I'm a little biased. It does depend on your crowd. But I go to several house parties my friends or fiance's friends throw, and they break out the coozies often.
I know it sounds strange, but I've always remembered when I went to a wedding and didnt get a favor. (I'm not bitter about it, it just sticks out in my mind.)

We have koozies from different weddings, parties, etc. and we keep them all. We have a drawer with other beer accessories, and we do use them & take them on camping trips! This may not be the case for everyone, but this is how it worked out for us as guests.

Again, it's a crowd specific thing. In my area, they'd only really be taken and used if it was a backyard bbq type of thing. Otherwise, it'd be a waste of money. Someone might take it to be polite or store it in a drawer. But all our koozies are tossed after 3 years of dust on them if not earlier.

We use them a lot in Mississippi so I'd probably take one!

So I actually have loved getting koozies in the past. I have a collection at home from different events. We always grab some when we are headed to a cookout... For me, I prefer this over bubbles or a goody bag with food in it. We are not doing koozies since our beer will be on tap- but they are nice to have if you have cans or bottles at the reception. We always grab extra when we leave a reception lol...

My future brother in law and his wife did koozies and I think it was a great idea. They did end up having leftovers but they are so cheap so it wasn't a big expense. Also, my friends and family are all koozie people and more often then not we trade them or leave them places so you will want some extras for yourself but when you find them again it will remind you of the memories.
