How are you supposed to arrange place cards???

I'm not sure if there is some "proper etiquette" to how you set up the place cards at the reception hall. Are you supposed to set them up by table number? Or in alphabetical order????

What did you ladies do or are planning on doing?

    Alphabetical! Make it easy for your guests to find the card and move on.

    Definitely alphabetical! if you're having a large or even "average" size reception, it might take guests forever to find their names if they aren't ordered in a way that they can quickly look through.

    Do it alphabetically. It makes it easy for the guests to find their names and they should already have the table number on them under the guest name.

    I agree with everyone else. But I'll just add that I'm also including a nice little colored jewel so the servers will know who eats what. Chicken=orange jewel Beef= brown jewel
