Horrible wedding

Okay well today we attended a wedding , besides the fact that it was a Tuesday and almost impossible for us to take off we attended . Well it's 9:30 and we're on our way home because we are starving . All they had was a cocktail hour and a dessert bar . We stayed for cake and now we're leaving ....

Okay well today we attended a wedding , besides the fact that it was a Tuesday and almost impossible for us to take off we attended . Well it's 9:30 and we're on our way home because we are starving . All they had was a cocktail hour and a dessert bar . We stayed for cake and now we're leaving . Everyone was waiting for dinner and when someone asked the brides mother about dinner time she informed that there would not be a dinner . Please don't do this to your guests .

Yeah, I don't understand why anyone thinks its okay to start a wedding at 6 and not feed people. That is insane

I'm from Indiana and we literally don't have gatherings of more than 2 without food. We go get food or we order food or we plan food or we cook food. Even if it's just watching a movie at someone's house. Food. Always food. I go places and people ask if I'm hungry. I'll say no. They still. Make. Food. Why wouldn't you feed people??

How incredibly awkward is this? They didn't even warn people, so then everyone is expecting dinner and you have to tell them "yeah sorry, no." I have a seizure disorder that's triggered by not eating/low blood sugar, so this is a hard noooo for me.

Shit, I would've ordered a pizza to come right to the reception.

Ugh, that's just awful! I don't know why Brides and their family's think it's okay not to host properly especially when it comes to food.

I'm going to go eat now. That made me hungry. Wish I could bring you a plate.

930!! Straight craziness. And on a work week, no dinner? Girl bye. Would have shown my face to the B&G then chucked the duces. Smh.

OMG...this is equivalent of hosting a dinner for 50 people, but only buying enough ingredients to warrant your place on the express lane at the grocery store.

Booze and sugar on a weeknight, with no protein or veggies equalizing the effect? My husband, a serious diabetic, would be in serious distress, but hey, they had the wedding of their dreams, sans real food, so screw anyone with a health issue or anyone who didn't like it -- because, you know the refrain -- they didn't have to come (again, they never tell you what you won't like before you come).

Disgusting. Talk about being a damn photo-op. Nobody will know by looking at the wedding photos that the failure hosts will post all over social media and eventually put in silver plated frames that guests were hungry. They should be ashamed of themselves, and call me a bitch, but if my husband and I made this kind of an effort on a Tuesday night, only to be faced with "Which drive-thru should we hit? after we find the first exit sign", that couple, the ones who ambushed their dinner guests with a nauseating combo of booze and sugar, would get $25, and that's if I wasn't feeling like vomiting (or I wasn't injecting him with insulin) when I dropped my card in the DIY, glittered cardbox..

I'm all for pinching pennies, but this is too much. I would not be able to be a happy bride without any food lol. They could have ditched the alcohol for water, punch or something and had some food. I'm pretty sure food>alcohol and that plus dessert equals disaster of emotions.

I am not having an extravagant wedding but my guests will be fed. Do not see having a reception without food.

Wow! A 6:00 ceremony and no food (and no warning) but had booze? That sounds fun.....no. I need to know about this food truck. Was it a taco truck? Please tell me the guests didn't have to pay for their own food. A very strange Tuesday wedding. Things that make you say hmmmm

Ridiculous! My ceremony started at 630 pm, and we had cocktail hour, dinner & dessert! I know I was hungry before the wedding even started so I never would have not have had them fed!
