Honeymoon - Splurge or Save?

Both? Lol its longer than our normal trips but not really luxurious. It's a bit more adventurous. It's expensive, but we're getting a lot for that price soo both haha.

Splurge, kinda of. We figure after marriage there won't be too many other opportunities for just us to take a nice trip alone. We splurged and decided on Greece, but are saving by doing a cruise instead of traveling the country on our own or doing an all inclusive resort.

Saved - i don't even think we're going to do one. not any time soon at least.

SAVE! I say that because 1. My mom is paying for it, God bless her heart and 2. It's all inclusive so we won't really be paying for much at all.

This will probably be a save. I just am a frugal person especially with vacations. It will feel like we splurged, but I am going to research until I find a save.

We're splurging to a degree. We chose a splurge place and then I researched until I could find what I wanted in the price I wanted!

Hardcore splurge lol. I got my passport years ago and have been trying to travel ever since. Something always goes wrong. Last time I had to decide between paying the thousands of dollars to keep my cat alive or take my planned trip to Ireland, Scotland and England. Obviously I chose my cat lol. No regrets. We decided to do Tahiti/Mo'orea with upgraded seats on the plane, over water bungalows, a bunch of excursions, massages, private dinner on the beach, etc. I'm so excited, I can't wait!!!!

Save! FH is friends with a couple of hotel owners. One happened to be building a bread new hotel in Jamaica. He offered us the honeymoon suit for a week for free. We feel bad about it because our wedding is a week before Xmas and usually around that time a lot of people would pay to be in the suite. He rather give us a free stay. Average cost for a week around Xmas in Jamaica is close to $2000 for hotel alone.

We are splurging for sure! I mean you only go on your honeymoon once (hopefully) so why not 🤷🏼‍♀️

We got married in May and still haven’t planned our honeymoon yet but we are going to splurge in Turks and Caicos.

Save - we are waiting to have an anniversary honeymoon

Kinda save.... although, it would've been a splurge. We're going to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos for 7 nights/8 days, but I got our flights for only $75 from using credit card reward miles! My FILs are paying for our oceanfront condo since my parents are paying for most of the wedding so we only have to pay for the food & excursions!

Splurge. FH and I decided that we will only have one honeymoon. We are spoiled in the fact that we live close to the Caribbean so we wanted to go somewhere like Hawaii or the South Pacific. You have your entire life to travel but will only be able to call it your honeymoon (hopefully) once.

I say splurge! Try to convince FH to go back to Italy!! Think I may have 😊😉

We deffinetly splurged lol we spent 3 weeks driving out and back from California and camped where ever we ended up that night. We spent about $2,000 each

Probably save. But we don't know yet.

Splurge! We wanted it to be super special, and it was gifted to us.

Splurged on three weeks in Greece, but did a lot of bookings using credit card points (first class one way, resort in Santorini). Our guests also gifted us a lot of nice extras, like cooking classes, unique dining experiences, or couples massages! 💕

Somewhat save. We decided on going on a road trip for our honeymoon. We will be getting a cabin in the smoky mountains. It won't be a super long vacation, but we are both excited to go somewhere we have never been before.
