Honest opinions please! Is this dress too booby or shiny?!

After trying on 10-15 different dresses at David's Bridal, I left feeling absolutely ridiculous in all of them. I could not see myself in a traditional white or ivory bridal gown. So I took a chance and ordered a light grey dress off Amazon and it finally came in!

The color was a little different than I expected, as it appears more shiny/silver in certain lighting (pic 2&3) but I LOVE the way I feel in it! I tried it on with my mom and sisters and they all loved it as well. I showed a picture to my FMIL since she offered to make my veil and she commented on how revealing it is and how with alterations I could make the neck line higher.

I felt comfortable in it but now I'm second guessing myself. It obviously still needs alterations at the bottom and the shoulders are loose so I assume that will help a bit.

Do you all think it is too revealing? Is the color too metallic-y?

I can return it if I choose so I will not be out any money. TIA for your unbiased opinions!!

The dress is very pretty. I think the color is fine if that is what you want, you have to be comfortable with it. The bottom is actually similar to my dress. It is a bit low. It probably depends on if you are in a church or not, but I could make it a bit less revealing if it was me.

I agree that it is a little to revealing (in my opinion anyway) but I think the dress is beautiful and looks great on you!

I like it! A sheer modesty panel could help if you're worried (that's what I'm doing). I don't think it's too much boob though personally.

I love the idea of doing the sheer piece in the shape of the V instead of straight across, thanks! I am comfortable showing off my assets a bit but definitely do not want that to be the main focus or a distraction!

I love it. I think it is low cut, but it isn't distasteful by any means. What matters most is how you feel in it.

I really like the color, in the first pic it is very romantic looking, so hopefully your photog can do something about the flash/color. I am not a huge fan of the cleavage though. there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to show some cleavage, but I think it doesn't do justice to your boobs. The right (your right) boob looks very perky, but it makes the left boob look kind of smooshed down. If you can fix that issue, I think the dress will be perfect.

I agree it's a lot of cleavage .. if you're comfortable in it, that's what matters. Don't want to risk it being TOO open while dancing Smiley winking

If that is more cleavage than you typically show than I would consider alterations, but I think it looks great as long as you're comfortable! It's different and awesome!

Personally I love it! If you think it's too much cleavage ask your seamstress to put a sheer piece in the middle!

It's beautiful I really like it. That said I'd have to get the neckline brought up some.

It is a little revealing but really to each his own! I think that dress does wonders for you and is so pretty and unique. If you feel the need to raise or change the cut of the dress that should not be to difficult. Love it though!

Gorgeous dress, a bit more cleavage than I would want, but if you're comfortable in it, go for it. A sheer panel could leave it still sexy while slightly more covered if you want.

It is a lot of cleavage, but if you like it go for it. I'm a bit on the modest side, so I would do a modesty panel or something with that particular gown.

It's not too metallic-y at all!

Wow! I love it. Agree with asking about adding some illusion fabric or modesty panel. Just a thought-- reminds of many of BHlDN's gowns if you want to look and see if they have anything you like with the higher neckline.
