Honest opinions please! Is this dress too booby or shiny?!

After trying on 10-15 different dresses at David's Bridal, I left feeling absolutely ridiculous in all of them. I could not see myself in a traditional white or ivory bridal gown. So I took a chance and ordered a light grey dress off Amazon and it finally came in!

The color was a little different than I expected, as it appears more shiny/silver in certain lighting (pic 2&3) but I LOVE the way I feel in it! I tried it on with my mom and sisters and they all loved it as well. I showed a picture to my FMIL since she offered to make my veil and she commented on how revealing it is and how with alterations I could make the neck line higher.

I felt comfortable in it but now I'm second guessing myself. It obviously still needs alterations at the bottom and the shoulders are loose so I assume that will help a bit.

Do you all think it is too revealing? Is the color too metallic-y?

I can return it if I choose so I will not be out any money. TIA for your unbiased opinions!!

This is beautiful!! I felt the same way going dress shopping! I love love that you went outside the box! I think it's perfect if you wanted to take a non traditional spin and still look bridal! If you feel conscious about the girls I would maybe add a sheer panel or something

I think the dress is great and I think if you took it to an alteration's shop and had them add push up cups it would be really great.

I'm more conservative so to me it shows some cleavage. But if it's comfortable for you don't change a thing! I love the dress. It looks beautiful on you!

It's a bit of cleavage for me, but if you're comfy in it, cool. You could add some sheer fabric. I've seen way sexier dresses. So, I wouldn't sweat it. It's not bridal to me, but in sure with the veil and all it will be.

    Overall, I love the dress!!!

It's beautiful! I would be so uncomfortable in it but that's just me. Just be careful when dancing, they have a mind of their own sometimes!

Definitely not too booby. It is a bit shiny in the last 2 pics, but I don't think it looks bad.

Absolutely love! I don't think it's too revealing. I think you could go either way though depending on your comfort level.

I love the dress and the color, but I agree; maybe a little raising of the neckline. It really is gorgeous!

Doesn't seem too shiny to me. This actually looks a lot like my bestie's wedding dress - she went with a lilac colored dress that she also purchased off amazon (and she loves it!). I'm not going to lie, you are totally boobalicious in that dress - but I personally do not think that's a bad thing. You've got a rockin' rack that you should be proud to show off. It all depends on your own comfort level. Do what makes you happy!

Thank you so much for the feedback! You all bring up great points, I do not want to look back and regret the pictures or give anyone too much of a show while cutting the cake or on the dance floor! lol

I know I need to take it to a great seamstress and let them do their thang! I just wasn't sure if adding a sheer underlay to the neck line would look out of place and I didn't want to start the alterations just to have it end up being too revealing anyway if that makes sense.

The shiny-ness in the 2nd&3rd photo is due to the flash being on so I am hoping with a professional photographer that will not be an issue!

I would try to cover the cleavage a little more. Other than that I love it!! Looks very similar to the coloring of my dress (mine is more of a lavender though)

It's beautiful to me. The cleavage is also not distasteful either.

Are y'all saying it's too much cleave because of the cut? The boob size? Or both?

I don't see a problem with the cleavage. It is a little on the sexy side, but I think it's well balanced. I've seen dresses where the neck line is super low cut, lots of sheer fabric, slits on the legs, etc all in one dress. I think that can be a bit much. However, if you want to just have this one sexy element then rock it!

I think the cap sleeves balance out the cleavage. You look great!

    I love it!

But if you think you'll be uncomfortable with it having that much boob on show, I'd say pick something else. You don't want to be worrying about pulling it up all night and checking that you're covered in the middle of dancing!

Its a beautiful dress, but at first impression it doesn't say bridal to me. I definitely think there is too much boob hanging out, maybe talk with the seamstress about bringing up the neckline or adding a sheer panel for a little extra coverage
