Hispanic themed wedding?

April, on June 24, 2019 at 11:45 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
Has anybody had a Hispanic wedding? My S.O and I’s roots come from Mexico and we’d like to get as close to that feel at possible.

I have been to a few that weren’t necessarily themed but they had Hora Loca and one had a build your own taco buffet and the bar had margaritas and tequila shots as the signature drinks

I'm Mexican but my FH is incredibly white but there are small Mexican details throughout
Like in the decor amd the colors. After the wedding I'm changing into my reception dress which is more traditional Mexican (bright red poofy dancing dress and Latin dancing shoes) which is what most of my family did
Very very small things but just enough for my family to notice

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, April Smiley smile

It could be special to take the same approach as Rachael and incorporate Mexican wedding traditions into your day. I would recommend you take some time to research traditions or speak with family members who are familiar and see if there is anything you would like to incorporate.

You can also give a nod to your cultural roots with the catering and entertainment as SraDeCarrillo suggested!

Have you and your FS looked at venues yet?

The money dance is only a Mexican thing? That makes sense why only my family talks about it 😂😂

Some other cultures do it as well but it’s popular for Mexican weddings.
