How long before the ceremony do you have to get from brown to blue?

I just had to stay in the bridal suite until it was time for me to walk. It was kind of nice because I had a few minutes of peace and quiet while my bridesmaids went and walked. The only people who saw me in between were the couple who arrived a few minutes late, and they just went around.

ETA: in my case, The brown X would be the bridal suite (downstairs) and the blue x would be the entrance to the room where my ceremony was. It was supposed to be outside but unfortunately it was pouring rain that day. Either way I think they would have had me wait in the bridal suite until it was time to walk. If we had been outside, my dad would have driven me over to the ceremony space on a golf cart.

If people will be in the chapel and seated, how would they see you coming out of the library?

The wedding I just went to had a couple people hold up blankets around the bride as she walked to where she needed to be.

Is there another entrance to the library or is that the only one?

If you wait until the last minute, I would imagine most guests will be seated / facing away from you and won't notice you walk over. They'll only look back when your music starts.

Alternatively, you can get a large golf sized umbrella and hold it to the side of you so no one can see you behind it!

Does it really matter if they see you 30 seconds earlier than scheduled?

I have a similar situation in that I have to walk out of the resort spa/pool house and walk across some grass to the actual aisle and will be in full view of most guests at that point. I'm just going to embrace it. I'd rather have them see me walking from there than have all sorts of unwanted attention drawn by sheets/towels or big umbrellas.

I think they probably won't notice you because they'll be watching your processional and won't be turned around yet.

You pretty much can't, so don't let it bother you. I had the same dilemma, but there's nothing you can do about it without driving up in a car or something. Just take the long walk.

Look how long my walk was, ha.

@m - I feel like there should have been those water giver-outers along the way like in a marathon. haha

Honestly, I don't think there's much you can do OP. I feel like brides who try to hide wind up looking a little silly.

Also, I thought this was going to be one of those weird wedding games.

Could your bridal party walk in front of you, like between you and the guests? They'd be at least partially blocking you until they started walking down the isle which would reveal you at the back.

Just embrace it and im sure everyone will be looking forward as the BP is walking down the aisle. I have a long walk and im not to worried if anyone sees me.. Im walkin about a 1/4 mile or a little more to my ceremony spot. It shouldnt bother you that they see you before the aisle this way they get more time to fully look you over and admire your dress and hair and how beautiful you will look on your day..
