" Here Comes the bride signs", what do you think?

Nicoletta, on December 28, 2014 at 12:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

You've probably seen these signs all over pintrest, for a while I was SO against them and thought I would never have one at my wedding, until I found this one from BHLDN and I love the vintage charm: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/173247916889419436/

What do you think? I was thinking of having my nephews hold it since the best man will have the rings. I was going to put it on a dowel and mayble add some ribbon streamers or a garland of flowers winding around the dowel. Would one boy hold it, or two? What do you think? ( our theme is Romantic vintage, think 1920s, 1930s, downtown abbey, that sort of thing)

If you like it then do it because it is your day. Not really for me but to each their own.

I think they are adorable! I was planning on one for my fiance's godson (our ringbearer) to carry. But, then FMIL bought a very nice ring bearer pillow as a "surprise" for us. So, I'm just going to do that instead of spend the money on a sign.

I hate them. But it's your day. If I was at a wedding with one of these signs, i wouldn't care. Even if everyone hates it, it's not like your guests are going to say "Did you see that sign? I'm leaving the wedding immediately."

Wendy I agree, I am actually surprised at myself. I was making fun of them for a long time, but when I saw the cute one from BHLDN, I made an exception, if it didn't look like something in made in the 1920s I probably would not have gone with one of these signs. I still can't stand the ones that say "Last chance to run", those are really tacky.

This picture was on the BHLDN site, this is what I was thinking about doing with the flowers.

We're having my 3 year old nephew carry a sign that says "Uncle Joe, here comes your bride." I think it'll put a smile on my groom's face, and in my opinion that's worth it Smiley smile

If you like it, then get it! We are also having the flowers hold something along the line of "Uncle Jay, here comes your bride." I think it's adorable. To each their own!

I love it! I'm doing one, my 4 yr old grandson is going to walk with it. Those that say is overdone is because you are at a ton of weddings. I've been to 4 weddings in 5 yrs, no one has done it! So I am!

I've only seen it online, never in person, I just don't like the ones say " its your last chance to run" but I like the idea of my two cutie nephews carrying this instead of the traditional ring pillow.

I have actually not been to a lot of weddings ( most of my friends are single, I live in LA) , so it is something new to me.
