Help!

April, on November 5, 2020 at 7:53 PM Posted in Account Support 0 14
My mom made my invitations and she only put “go to WeddingWire.com” instead of placing my wedding wire link on there ( I made a website ). But when I go on WeddingWire.com to search for my name or my fiancé’s name, our website doesn’t come up. My website is set on public as well. How do I fix this? I’m so confused. Thanks

Standard Etiquette - Neither links nor a referral to wedding wire should be put on invitations. Save the links for an instructions and directions enclosure, or Save the Dates, and word of mouth.

Whoeve sends a shower invitation can put either a registry link or website link on that invitation, or on a card like a business card to go with it. Not your wedding invitation.

These are the shower invitations I am referring to. She did not put the link. And guests are not able to look up our names to see the link to our registry which is on the website and to RSVP for the bridal shower.

    Oh, not in first post.
one of the shower hostesses may email or text all invited to the shower, with the wedding website foe general info, and with registries too. Not you. Quick and easy

That STILL doesn’t answer her question of how ANYONE can find or access the website regardless of WHO sends the link

I’m not sure of a solution, but have you reached out to WeddingWire’s customer support? Did you recently just make it public? Maybe it’s taking awhile to go “live” as public.

In my experience, when anyone posts that kind of question here, it is always fixed or answered by technical staff, usually 24 hours or less when O have been seeking help. You wait, then you get a response here or a massage.

I’m sorry I can’t directly answer your original question but just wanted to say I’ve never heard of “proper etiquette” for websites to not be on an invitation considering a lot of people use them to have guests rsvp, select food choices, and list travel recommendations in place of rsvp and details cards. Seems like a good place to list it to me.

I would call or send an email to WW customer service to see if their IT can help you.

Hopefully account support will get back to you. However, another option may be to just print out the full link on strips of paper or business cards and include that in the invitations? I've gotten invites like that before and never really thought twice about it as a guest.

Even if they do not get back to you, periodically go to the front page Website and registry lookup button, and see if either of your names comes up now.

    Hi April!

I'm sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused! We are experiencing an issue with our website search function on the WeddingWire homepage.

Our Development Team is aware of the issue and working to fix it as we speak, however, I do not have a timeline for the issue. In the meantime, we always recommend that you provide your guests with your direct wedding website URL to avoid any confusion!
