Help! Stuck zipper :(

My grandmother gave me this really nice purse and I of course love it! However this morning somehow fabric got stuck in the zipper on the side pocket and its not budging! I am so afraid to rip the fabric but its not coming out no matter what I do. Anyone have any tricks...? Should I take it back to the department store we got it from and ask them to try and get it unstuck? She bought it from Macys earlier this month so I'v only actually used the purse a few times. IDK what happen to get the fabric stuck like that I stopped working on it for a bit because I got upset and frustrated and didnt want to break the zipper itself!

Soap. Put LOTS of solid soap on it (don't make it wet, and no liquid soaps). It should slide right out.

I say take it back to the department store, and (not being silly here, I'm serious) get a little weepy and explain how your grandmother gave it to you so you don't want to hurt it. Then put it on their shoulders to fix

So should I use bar soap and just cake it on..?
I might just do that Maggie...I'd like to take care of it myself because I dont have the receipt or anything and dont want to bother her about it. She lives in another state so she bought it when she was visiting.

Yes, just take a regular bar of soap. Start with a little and see if it moves. It makes the zipper really slippery so it should move it very easily.

I heard about the soap trick before.. never tried it my self though.. let us know if it worked..
if not, then go back to Macys & return it with no receipt... they will give you store credit... Then go to a different register & buy another bag... sorry but thats what I would do if the soap trick did not work
