We've been living together for 4 years so this is pretty much already decided upon, we take care of our own and split everything else. We might open a joint account for savings or something though.

We each have our own accounts, and will set up a joint account in time.

We already have a joint account for living expenses and separate accounts for personal expenses.

We have not discussed this yet, we will still be living with my parents for a bit after the wedding so there is still some time to decide. We will more than likely join accounts and then I will be the one who puts whatever money to the side to make sure everything is taken care of. 😂

We have been living together for years now so we have a pretty good system down on who covers what.

    Caveat: already married.

We lived together before we even got engaged, so we've been working this out for a long time.

I would say this is an ongoing discussion, as we're both in the arts and services. So, expenses are split much more by who is pulling in more money at the time (currently me), but that changes frequently.

I'd encourage other couples to not set any of this in stone - so many things can change at any time! Always communicate about money!

We started a joint savings account when we got engaged to save for the wedding. We plan on opening a joint checking account for bills and together expenses. We plan on keeping our separate checking/savings like we do now.

We are going to have a join account that all of our checks and bills are pulled from. We have also set up a preliminary budget, that we will re-evaluate as we get closer to the wedding date. We also will both keep our personal accounts that each month we will deposit a set amount of "fun money" into. That money can be used for anything! No questions, no comments from the peanut gallery. This allows him to spend money on things he likes that I think are frivolous and vice versa.

We simply share the bills. No point of joining our accounts, I don't really see that happening. We MAY get a savings account together but he has his own bank account and I have mine, and that's how it'll stay.

We're going to split everything 50/50. We will start up a joint bank account where we will put in the money every pay period for the bills. He pays his own personal bills and I do the same.

Yes, we will have a joint savings account, but our other accounts will be separate. He pays the rent and I pay all the utilities, internet, groceries.

Yes! He does make a little more than I do currently so we agreed that he would pay rent and I would pay the utilities. We currently split the phone bill and will likely continue to pay our own insurances or split the insurance bill once we get on the same policy.

We're going to have a joint account. Haven't discussed details yet because we don't move into our house until June. Probably will discuss in detail when it comes closer to time.

We have a joint account and our own separate accounts. All of the bills are paid from the joint account and we split everything pretty much 50/50.

Yes, for now we're managing it half and half absolutely everything about housing and rent and water, gas, electricity, those kinds of stuff. But we plan on keeping accounts, bills and payments we had before, individual.

He pays the big monthly bills and I pay everything else, then we'll join accounts.
