How many times have you been a bridesmaid? Did you choose those brides to be bridesmaids in your wedding? Did you ever have to wear a dress as a bridesmaid that you hated? Did you ever wear a bridesmaid dress that you actually wore again later? Show us!

I’ve been a MOH and that bride is in my wedding. I absolutely hated the dress she picked for us and never wore it again. It made me super aware of what I picked for my girls. I want them to be comfortable and happy

I have been a bridesmaid for my dads wedding and my sisters wedding. Never wore the dresses again. For mine, I'm choosing the color, but letting the girls choose their own dress style. I've got bridesmaids who are super thin with no bust, and ones who are larger with a full chest, short girls, tall girls...I want all of them to feel beautiful and dont want any of them feeling uncomfortable in the dress.

I’ve been a bridesmaid 3 times, and a MOH two times. Three of those brides are in my bridal party! I loved two of my dresses, liked two, and hated one! Lol

Ive actually never been a bridesmaid so I had to research what they’re supposed to do. I have bffs but we were in different seasons of life when they got married. I feel sad like I missed out on something special. My fiancé has been the best man at every one of his groomsmens weddings. He says he’s the “ultimate best man” lol

I've been a bridesmaid twice. My 2 best friends are also best friends, so it's been the 3 of us forever. We could never choose 1 over another so for both of their weddings, and soon to be my wedding, there was no MOH. Just us, and so far it's been great. I hated my dress for the first, the 2nd one, was actually pretty awesome. My only rule was that it had to be yellow. So I bought a little lacey sundress on clearance at Macy's for $7 and dyed it myself and it was so awesome! If it still fit, I'd probably still wear it.

I was a bridesmaid once in my cousin’s wedding & no, his wife isn’t a bridesmaid in mine. The dres was plain honestly but my aunt paid for it & I don’t believe I ever wore it again. I don’t even have a picture lol It was maybe 9yrs ago.

I've been a bridesmaid 3 times. I've loved 2 & absolutely hated 1. I'm trying to sell them now, actually.

I've never been a bridesmaid. At my sister's wedding, I had to stand in for the mother of the bride, since our actual parents didn't bother to come. (Don't even ask about that story!) And at an age at which people were getting married, I was in law school three-quarters time, working full-time, and serving on law review, so I really didn't have time to make friends or socialize.

Several times! I once wore a burgundy dress (bride let us pick them out as long as conservative), which I wore to other weddings and outings. Another bride had custom dresses made for us, lovely for a wedding but when the bride said “and you could totally wear these again!” I was thinking “um, no.” They were still way to bridesmaidy.

I have been a bridesmaid once. We have known each other since we were little babies in diapers. She will be one of my bridesmaids as well. She had us use Azazie for our bridesmaid dresses. We did different shades of coral and we got to pick the design. I loved that so I felt comfortable in my dress.

I have a bridesmaid 6 times. I’ve re worn one but only once and then donated it. It was from Anthropologie so a little less “wedding look”. Two of those brides will be in my wedding, one as maid of honor. I’ve definitely worn ones that I hated - the straight across strapless tea length satin dresses with a rhinestone in the center of a ribbon belt 😑 yeah I’m not forcing mine to wear any specific style because of that!!!

I've been a bridesmaid 2x. Once for my cousin and once for my BFF. They knew one another (BFF was close to my family) and BFF came to my cousin's wedding as a guest.

I did in fact wear the dress again!

The dress my cousin picked my BFF liked and we were able to reuse the dresses as bridesmaids dresses in her wedding a year-ish later.

    --------------

Being a bridesmaid made me very aware of how unclear expectations and instructions can be, which made me hyper vigilant about giving clear cut instructions with dates when I gave info out to my bridesmaids. I outlined everything with dates, deadlines, links and pictures...everything I could think of and I am happy to say that everything has gone smoothly so far, knock on wood!

I was the MOH once and a BM three times. The brides I was a BM for were all in my wedding (two BM and my MOH). I’m not as close with the person who I was MOH for, her wedding was 10 years ago, so I didn’t have her in my wedding.
I loved the dress I wore as an MOH because I was able to choose it. I didn’t hate the others (but didn’t love them) and donated all of them to a prom dresses program for high school students in my area.

I have been a BM before. That bride is invited to my wedding but is not a part of my bridal party. I definitely did not ever wear that dress again as it was strapless tea length brown satin. The color was awful. That was the reason I gave my girls 5 dresses to choose from since they are all different heights and body types. I want them to feel pretty and to be comfortable.

I've been a BM 3x and I've worn all 3 dresses again. 1 is black and is my stand by little black dress (it's a bit tight now) but I usually wear it to funerals. Another is black as well but is more fun than the other and I wore it to another wedding. The last is watermelon pink or something, a horrible color, but i wore it on the semi formal night on a cruise with some fun accessories.
2 are invited to me wedding, only one is coming b/c the other lives on the other side of the country (she would have been a BM). I don't talk to the 3rd any more.

I've been in two weddings for good friends of mine - I was a bridesmaid and groomsmaid. Both dresses I wore I did like, but I haven't worn either since. One out of two is in my wedding party. I couldn't have the other in my wedding party without feeling like I had to include the rest of our friend group as we're all pretty close, and I didnt want a big wedding party to begin with. I only have my sister as my MOH and my friend as a BM whose wedding I was in a few years ago
