I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I've loved the books since I was a kid, and always found them to have profound lessons about love, life, friendship, and good over evil. I wanted to find a way to incorporate a tiny part of them into the ceremony without it being childish or obvious. And I did it! For our ring exchange, we will say:
"I give you this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness, and as a constant reminder of the unbreakable vow we have made today."
For those who are not HP fans, and unbreakable vow is a spell that, if ever broken, would cause the offending party to perish. I thought it was a nice take on "'til death do us part."
